Big Investments From Styrian Lift Co's
Fabrice Girardoni, spokesman for the Styrian cable cars: "The longing for the mountains is great, there are catch-up effects. Despite the high inflation, many people still want a winter holiday. Many say to themselves: 'Now more than ever!' Sporty Austria manages between 8 and 9 days of skiing per year and per person. The trend here is upwards. 38% of ski guests in Austria are families with children. Here we are particularly well positioned compared to other countries. The Styrian ski areas are well prepared for the season - with modern energy concepts and measures towards complete self-sufficiency."
Cableways
New 10-seater gondola lift to the Grebenzen in St. Lambrecht in the Murau adventure region: Grebenzen thus becomes "Grebentei". From the valley to the mountain in eight minutes instead of the previous 30 minutes. Investment volume: €14 million.

Two new cable cars: Galsterberg and Rittisberg invest heavily
Also at the beginning of the 2022/23 winter season, two new cable cars will go into operation in the Schladming-Dachstein region. In the future there will also be a summer operation. Investment: €5.8 million.
Schwabenbergarena Turnau: new summit lift
From the 2022/23 season, winter sports enthusiasts will be able to get up the mountain at 1,250 m above sea level in the Schwabenbergarena Turnau in three minutes, thanks to the new “Heldeco” summit lift. Investment around €600,000.
Aflenzer Bürgeralm - the natural snow paradise with improved slope quality
Investment of €80,000 in the expansion of the Weirer Teich cross-country skiing and biathlon center including snowmaking and floodlights.
