Betterpark Hintertux Is Ready For The 14th Hotzone.Tv Park Opening From Thursday, Oct 4th To Sunday, Oct. 7th, 2018

Finally the week has arrived! On Thursday snowboarders officially kick off the new winter season at the 14th Hotzone.tv Park Opening (Oct. 4th – 7th, 2018), since years the first Opening of the season. The Betterpark Hintertux, open since early September as first Glacier Park in Europe, is looking forward to welcome numerous riders and snowboard-enthusiasts. A trip is worthwhile, as it is plenty going on: test the brand-new boards from the upcoming season, watch pro’s and amateurs battling it out in fun sessions & contests and of course join the Opening parties, which foster a legendary reputation for many years.

Riders & Park: Well-known faces are joining, among them Marko Grilc (SLO), former Air & Style winner, as well as Roope Tonteri (FIN), Seppe Smits (BEL) and Rowan Coultas (UK), all three of them Olympians who represented their respective country in South Korea last season. Also participating are Wojtek Pawlusiak (POL), Klaudia Medlova (SVK), Dominik Wagner (AUT), the German guard with Benny Urban, Maxi Preissinger and Leon Vockensperger, last year’s winners of the Opening contests Roli Tschoder and Fabian Fraidl (AUT) and of course local hero Werni Stock. A visit at Betterpark Hintertux is paying off to discover the unique park - a 1000-meter long playground with various jumps and jib-features - together with the pro riders. The park as usual offers something for every one, for the freestyle pro as well as for the freestyle newbie. Contests and fun sessions like the „Alarm Clock Battle“, the „Session of the Dudes“, the „Transform Cash for Trix Session“ as well as the „Kids Shred“ attract numerous participants. 

Parties: The Opening side-events are well known to entertain party-animals and will keep everyone in good mood also this year. A whole armada of renowned DJ’s from the UK, New Zealand, Australia, the Netherlands, Germany and Austria is getting ready to provide best music entertainment on the turntables and great vibes all weekend long. It’s kicking off on Thursday with the „Welcome Pizza & Party“ at Kleine Tenne in Lanersbach. On Friday the „Video Night“ is starting at 8 pm at Tux-Center with a very special treat: Wolle Nyvelt’s new movie “Sparks” will celebrate its world premiere! The evening continues in the Kleine Tenne as the night before. Saturday afternoon the Hintertux parking lot is the centre of attention with Pumptrack for everyone – don’t forget your skateboard, and next doors at the Hohenhaus Tenne Hintertux people can try their gambling luck with poker and roulette, where non-cash prizes can be won! The evening will see the absolute party highlight of the weekend, the big “Opening Night” at Hohenhaus Tenne Hintertux.
