Best Austrian Summer Mountain Railways And KlimaTicket O Will Continue Their Program “One For Mountain And Valley” Next Summer
The Best Austrian Summer Mountain Railways and KlimaTicket Ö are continuing their cooperation "One for Mountain and Valley" and will also offer sustainable mobility in combination with unforgettable mountain experiences next summer. After the offer met with great interest in the current season and was positively rated by many guests, KlimaTicket holders will also receive a 10% discount at the ticket offices of the participating mountain railways in 2025.
Sustainable mobility remains in focus
Many guests have already taken advantage of the benefits of the Climate Ticket and are enthusiastic about the wide range of discounted mountain and valley rides and the easy and environmentally friendly way to get to the local mountains - 80% of the best Austrian summer mountain railways are well connected by public transport. A comprehensive evaluation of guest feedback will be carried out at the end of the current summer season.

"By extending this offer, we want to continue to make our contribution to environmentally friendly tourism and promote the often very easy journey by public transport. Unforgettable mountain experiences are closer than you might think. And they can also be reached by public transport and in a climate-friendly way," says Grundner.
"It is particularly important to us to make mobility and leisure activities more attractive with the KlimaTicket Ö in order to get even more people excited about the product. Climate-friendly travel has become an important criterion for many guests when going on holiday or choosing a destination. We are therefore all the more pleased that our joint cooperation has been so well received and continued immediately after its launch," adds Hanna Merkinger, Product Manager KlimaTicket Ö.
The cooperation "One for Mountain and Valley"
Upon presentation of a valid KlimaTicket Ö, the holder will receive a 10% discount on the ascent and/or descent on all participating summer cable cars, based on the current daily ticket price at the ticket office. The discount is not valid for online purchases and cannot be applied to tickets that are already discounted.
Even though the current season is coming to an end and winter is just around the corner, guests still have the opportunity to use the offer of the best Austrian summer mountain railways until November 3, 2024. The promotion also includes the long weekend around the holiday on November 1 - a perfect last opportunity to enjoy autumn in the mountains

About the seal of approval “Best Austrian Summer Mountain Railways”
The seal of quality for the Best Austrian Summer Mountain Railways is an initiative of the Cable Cars Association (Austrian Chamber of Commerce) and stands for quality, cooperation and sustainable regional development. The seal of quality brings together the experts and pioneers of domestic summer mountain tourism and now has 79 members with 96 themed mountains. Only companies that meet at least 100 quality criteria become one of the "Best Austrian Summer Mountain Railways". Specialized in five themed worlds - adventure, family, panorama & nature experience, enjoyment, art & culture - members must pass a recertification every three years. A varied range of experiences is guaranteed - not least for this reason, the seal of quality has now become an important decision criterion when holiday guests choose their destination.
About the KlimaTicket Ö
The KlimaTicket Ö is an initiative of the Austrian Climate Protection Ministry and allows you to use all scheduled services (public and private rail transport, city transport and transport associations) in a specific area for one year: regionally, nationally and Austria-wide. As an additional offer to the KlimaTicket Ö, there is also the option of purchasing regional KlimaTickets. The implementation and design of these is the responsibility of the respective federal state.
