Bergbahnen Kappl Austra Invests In A Snow-Sure Future
The well-known Tyrolean family ski area Kappl has invested in the future and expanded the existing snow-making system in the summer of 2018. This is another measure to make the region more attractive.
The need for a high-performance snowmaking system results from the location of the ski area placed on the side of the sun. As a result, the expansion of the existing network has been repeatedly worked on in recent years.
In the summer of 2018, a pumping station was built and pressure pipes of Tiroler Rohre GmbH (TRM) have been installed over a total length of 4,5 km. Ductile iron pipes in nominal sizes DN 80 to DN 300 were used, which withstand pressure levels up to 100 bar. Bergbahnen Kappl have been partners of TRM for many years.
They appreciate the service provided by the employees on site as well as the rapid availability of materials and the delivery capability of the company. In order to make the ski area more interesting for hikers in the summer, numerous innovations have been created. For the year 2019, the construction of an additional water reservoir is planned.
