Bartholet Becomes Part Of The HTI/Leitner Group
The High Technology Industries (HTI) Group has replaced the previous private equity fund CEDARLAKE Capital (which in turn acquired the shares from the private equity fund ARGOS Soditic 5 years ago) and thus becomes the majority owner and strategic partner of Bartholet.
The founding family from Flums will continue to be shareholders and Dipl. Ing. Roland Bartholet will continue to lead the company as Chairman of the Board and CEO with the current management. The Swiss company, which currently employs around 450 people, will continue to operate under the name "Bartholet" and as part of the HTI group, an umbrella organization that unites the additional brands of LEITNER and POMA (Rope-hauled transportation systems), PRINOTH and JARRAF (snowgroomers and tracked utility vehicles), DEMACLENKO (snowmaking systems), LEITWIND (wind turbines) and AGUDIO (Material ropeways).
The location in Flums will be integrated into the global structure of the HTI Group, which already extends from Italy to Austria, from France to Slovakia, from the United States and Canada to India, Germany and China, and is thus close to customers all over the world with its extensive network. This collaboration generates customer benefits that allow ropeway technology to be used in an even more targeted manner thanks to the latest innovations in passenger and material transportation.
The history of Bartholet Maschinenbau AG in Flums begins as a one-man business and is characterised by constant growth. Anton Bartholet, the founder and father of Roland Bartholet, who is now President of the Board of Directors, is still working daily at the age of 81. The small workshop gradually grew into a large production company. In 1997 the continuous growth with additional business partners led to the current structure with around 350 employees in eleven workshops at the Flums site under the management of Roland Bartholet in the second generation.
