Axess Works With Azerbaijan's Tufandag Ski Area

The Tufandag ski resort in Azerbaijan has been equipped with the latest Axess technology since January 2023. Various software solutions and hardware products ensure smooth visitor management and satisfied operators. Tufandag ski resort is the first Axess project in Azerbaijan.

The Tufandag ski and holiday area is not only appreciated by winter sports guests, but is also a popular year-round destination for a wide variety of activities in Azerbaijan. Many attractions and offers such as night skiing, toboggan runs and much more attract numerous tourists to the ski resort in the Caucasus Mountains.

Smart modular design

AX500 Smart Gates NG are used for access control. All gates are equipped with the Axess CONTROLLER 600 and the Axess TICKET SCANNER 600 modules in order to be able to cover all ticket control options throughout the year. The gates at the lifts are equipped with long-range antennas for contact-free access. These antennas recognize the RFID card in the guest's jacket pocket in a fraction of a second and open the gate if the ticket check is positive. Thanks to the modular design, all gates can be delivered with the appropriate modules or retrofitted, depending on the customer's requirements.

Digitization is the future

The Tufandag ski resort is investing in digitization and thus in the future of state-of-the-art visitor management. The Axess RESORT.RENTAL and Axess RESORT.LESSONS software solutions are used in the rental and ski school areas. With RESORT.RENTAL, the ski area has a flexible solution for renting sports and leisure equipment. At the check-in desk, customers can order the rental items they want using the self-service method and register with their personal data. This shortens the registration process at the checkout and at the dispensing point, leaving more time for advising customers. The employee in the shop can access all customer data immediately and can therefore concentrate more on up- and cross-selling.

With RESORT.LESSONS, managing a ski school becomes child's play. All inquiries and bookings are recorded in the central data management system. The planning of the ski instructors for ski courses and lessons can also be done via the same platform. The intuitive user interface guarantees easy operation.

The high-performance Axess SMART POS cash register system is used for ticket sales in the Tufandag ski area. Fast ticket issuing and reliable payment management are essential, especially when there are large numbers of visitors. The touchscreen enables easy operation of the monitor and numerous features of the SMART POS support the cashiers for smooth ticket sales. The button positioning can be created entirely according to the customer's preferences, divided into several button levels and designed in a clear color. With the first installations of Axess hardware and software products, the Tufandag ski resort is ready for the digital future. Further software additions are already being planned.
