Axess Installs Upgrades In Russia's Krasnaya Polyana
Even after the 2014 Winter Olympics, Russia's winter sports jewel Krasnaya Polyana continues to develop. The latest addition to the resort: an all-in-one solution for ticket sales, rentals and courses.
The biggest stage
The Krasnaya Polyana ski area is just over an hour's drive east of Sochi, the site of the 2014 Winter Olympics. The resort was opened in 2009 and expanded for the games with investments of billions. After the alpine ski races were held in the region in 2014, Krasnaya Polyana developed on all levels and became a winter sports resort with exclusive hotels and 30 kilometers of modern slopes. In the summer half of the year, the resort offers itself as an attractive bike area. But not only the slopes and trails are at the top international level.
Modern access technology from Axess
For the digital turnaround in Krasnaya Polyana, a tailor-made system was required that unifies all facets of ski resort management.
“The resort wanted an all-in-one solution for the software. In future, it should be possible to manage ski pass sales, rentals and ski schools centrally using one system. The challenge was to integrate the whole thing into the existing customer web solution, ”explaind Kirill Brunin, who and his team from Axess Russia were responsible for handling the project. Only three and a half months after the implementation began, the delivery and full installation of the system was already complete.
Satisfied ski area operators & ski guests
The advantage for ski resort management is obvious: all sales and the organization of all sub-areas in the resort now take place with significantly less effort and a much better overview. This saves time in everyday life, allows more effective management and reduces administrative costs.
But the new system also means a great plus in convenience for ski guests. POS sales points were installed in all hotels, all rental stations and at the valley stations, which means that ski tickets, courses and rental material can be booked more flexibly.
Easy access & organic card
With the purchased digital tickets - or those printed out at the PICK UP BOX - guests glide contactlessly through the newly installed 34 smart gates to enjoy skiing. If you print your ticket, the Axess BARCODE CARD ORGANIC is an environmentally friendly card that is made entirely of paper and can simply be disposed of in the waste paper container after use. An example of how digitization and environmental commitment can make a difference.
