Arc’teryx Opens Brand Store In Calgary, Canada
Arc’teryx continues to expand by opening a new retail location in Calgary, Canada. Located on Calgary’s infamous Red Mile, the 222.5 square meter store is designed to inspire technical outdoor enthusiasts and provide the tools they need to help drive personal evolution and celebrate the wild Rocky Mountains.
“This retail space is both a design and experience evolution for Arc’teryx as it doubles as a community hub and provides consumers opportunities to learn more about the technical aspects or our gear,” says Julia Brunzell, Retail Design and Brand Experience Manager, Arc’teryx.
“Our team has created a bright, modern and unique addition to this lively street.”
The store’s design focuses on community building and product education offering a space that encourages outdoor enthusiasts to gather, connect and share experiences. This includes architectural features that enhance acoustics, a built in projector and tiered theatre-style seating designed for meetups, clinics and events.
Visual elements throughout the space include a mural of Mt. Rundle, gallery style photos taken by the brand’s talented in-house photographers, and a map of the Rocky Mountains highlighting local trails to inspire adventure seekers and visitors alike.
“We’re excited to share our events, collaboration opportunities and community experiences with the incredible Calgary market,” says Meg Irvine, Marketing and Community Lead, Arc’teryx. “Our goal is to create a space that helps deepen the connection between technical outdoor enthusiasts and the Rockies.”
Many Arc’teryx sponsored athletes are from Alberta, including ultra runner Adam Campbell and mixed climber Will Gadd.
The Calgary store celebrated its grand opening on June 9 with a series of special events.
