Antlers At Vail Colorado Hotel Reveals Plans For $4 Million Renovation

Ski season 2019-20 just got a lift from the announcement by Colorado’s Antlers at Vail hotel that the popular and affordable Vail Valley lodging will soon embark on a $4 million renovation. As soon as Vail Mountain Resort completes its 2019 closing festivities in April, construction will begin on Antlers’ lobby and connected areas – including an efficient new elevator – that will raise the guest welcome experience to the same Platinum-level status the guest suites have enjoyed since 2015.

“By significantly improving these areas, we will be offering a seamless, service-oriented introduction to the Antlers that’s in line with the rest of the property,” says Magda King, Antlers General Manager. King notes that the all-condominium hotel represents many individual owners, adding, “We’re proud and appreciative that our owners have recognized the value of these upgrades in order to provide the ultimate in hospitality for our guests.”

Architect Henry Pratt, of Vail-based GPSL Architects, is directing the project, which will relocate and upgrade the property’s elevator, at the same time providing transformative improvements to the lobby, front desk, reception area and associated office spaces. An expansive two-story structure with vaulted ceiling areas will replace the current one-level front desk “pillbox,” increasing check-in efficiency and radically improving the aesthetic appeal. The remodel is planned to start in April 2019, with completion anticipated in time for the 2019-20 ski season.

Antlers at Vail features fully equipped and spacious condominiums – ranging in size from studio to four bedrooms. In 2015, following an intensive construction program to renovate the individually owned condos with new kitchens sporting stainless steel appliances and granite countertops as well as new tile baths, floors, furnishings, lighting, electronics and more, the property was awarded Platinum status, the highest level of Vail Valley Partnership’s Lodging Quality Assurance Program.

The spacious units contain gas fireplaces, private balconies with spectacular views of the valley and the mountains, free Wi-Fi, free shuttle to the grocery store and complimentary heated underground parking. Not to mention that after a day on the slopes or of other winter fun – including at the Alderhof Outdoor Ice Rink in the heart of Lionshead Village, mere yards away – guests can soothe sore muscles and unwind in the Antlers’ year-round heated pool and hot tubs, as well as take advantage of free yoga classes twice a week.

A stay at Antlers at Vail condominium hotel also includes an abundance of surprising and unique complimentary amenities: among them, round-trip ski valet to the base of the Eagle Bahn Gondola, in-room fittings for equipment rental, and use of Antlers’ sleds, snowshoes and GoPro cameras, as well as specialty kitchen appliances like espresso machines and crockpots. Guests can hop on the nearby gondola to access the slopes or go explore the vibrant mix of dining and shopping in Vail’s Lionshead neighborhood within easy walking distance. And Antlers at Vail never charges a resort fee.
