Antelope Butte Ready For Summer

Antelope Bute has just released their summer newsletter. They say:

Dear friends,
Summer has officially started in Wyoming! The grass is green, the wildflowers are out, and the mountains are the place to be. The Butte is truly a magical place and it has been a gift to watch it change from a winter snow covered mountain to a lush summer paradise over the past few months.
June was an eventful and productive month at Antelope Butte! We started the month with the announcement of the Big Horn REA Summer Concert Series and we ended the month with the first concert in the series this past Saturday. We couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful day on the mountain! We had tunes from Chrometones, Lacy Nelson and Sally & George, brews from Montucky Cold Snacks, Broken Compass Brewing, WYOld West Brewing, and Smith Alley Brewing, delicious food from Bino’s Catering, and a yoga session with Kula Space!
As events across the country have been canceled, we are so grateful that we are able to safely provide outdoor events to our community and we have sponsors that are able to support us! A big shout out to our sponsors and volunteers that made this event possible: Big Horn REA, Kennon, Security State Bank, Sheridan Media, Let'Er Buck Car Wash, Go Fast Don't Die, Powder Horn Realty, WYO Theater and Bank of Greybull!
As the summer continues, we are excited to keep the momentum moving forward with the July and August concerts, continue to plan our youth programs for this upcoming year, and make progress on the lodge. We hope to see you on the mountain soon!

The Big Horn REA Summer Concert Series
The fun continues with another concert every three weeks through August. Join us for three more unforgettable nights on the mountain. For each of the following events, gates will open at 2pm, giving you plenty of time to set up camp, enjoy the mountain with chairlift rides, grab something to eat from Bino's Food Truck, and catch a yoga session with Kula Yoga 5-6pm. Bring your chairs and blankets to set up in the grass and enjoy the live music 6-10pm.
Tickets are limited and must be purchased online ahead of time, see the buttons below. Entry is $15 for adults and free for kids 12 and under. Unlimited scenic chairlift rides are $10 per person. Please bring a receipt of ticket purchase to show when you arrive. There will be food and beverages available for purchase from Bino's Catering as well as Montucky Cold Snacks beer for sale.
There will be no camping Friday night but we'd love to have you stay Saturday night after the concert! Camping Saturday night is $20 per campsite and you can make your campsite reservation when you buy your tickets. Hope to see you there!

We ❤️ Our Volunteers!
Thank you to all of our amazing volunteers that showed up June 20th for the Community Volunteer Work Day. Over 75 volunteers donated their time and talents and together we were able to fully clear Ashley's Alley, Fast Eddie, and beautify the Butte. A big shout out to GreenSky Commercial Cleaning for providing the food, drinks, trash bags, and gloves! Your generosity is greatly appreciated. It’s truly amazing what 75 volunteers can accomplish in 4 hours. Thank you to everyone that made it out and we can't wait for the next one!

Ashley's Alley
One of the trails that we were able to clear on our Community Volunteer Work Day June 20th was Ashley's Alley. We're so grateful for Jeff & Karen Grant for generously sponsoring and naming trail #18, Ashley's Alley, and for providing the unforgettable story below:
"Our first daughter, Ashley Nicole, was killed in a freak accident on her third birthday. Don't be sad....we wouldn't trade a moment of those three beautiful years for anything and we cherish the three short years that Ashley warmed our hearts. Ashley loved to be in the mountains, at her grandparents' mountain cabin, at Lake Adelaide, and many other places in the Big Horn Mountains. As the years have passed, we've learned that Ashley's life and death has reminded many who knew her that they needed to slow down, pay more attention to those they love, and to give their kiddos an extra hug or two. Since the heart and soul of our Foundation is to help the young people in our communities learn about mountain recreation, spend more time together as a family, and learn to love the great outdoors, we felt it would be appropriate to name a run at Antelope Butte Mountain Recreation Area after Ashley. So, we hope, when people ski down or hike down Ashley's Alley with their children, they remember to give them a great big hug when they're done!"
If you would like to name your own trail, we invite you to become one of our Mountain Legacy Donors.

Mountain and Lodge Legacy
We're on the home stretch fundraising for the lodge and we would love your support. Every bit helps! Our goal is to have occupancy in the lodge and be able to move the rental shop from the garage to basement of the lodge by this upcoming winter season. Help us meet out goal with your one time contribution, reoccurring donation, or legacy gift. We invite you to be a part of Antelope Butte's goal to complete our permanent home base. Let's work together to fundraise that final 20% and get in the lodge by next winter!
