Anne Marty Elected President Of Domaines Skiables De France

At the annual congress of Domaines Skiables de France (DSF), which was taking place in Reims (France), the members of the professional association for French ski area operators elected Anne Marty from the Pyrenees to the presidency of Domaines Skiables de France, succeeding Alex Maulin from Savoie - France. Anne Marty is the first woman and representing the Pyrenees to be elected President of DSF.

As Deputy Managing Director since 2019 of ALTISERVICE, the leading operator of mountain resorts in the Pyrenees (France), which manages the Font-Romeu Pyrénées 2000, Saint-Lary and Toulouse urban cable car areas, the new President of DSF is recognised for her expertise and commitment to Corporate Social Responsibility. Her leadership and ability to adapt and anticipate in a sector as constantly evolving as tourism have made Anne Marty a respected voice in the tourism and mountain industry.

Anne Marty defends a collective and committed vision for the French mountain industry, particularly when it comes to Corporate Social Responsibility issues. For her 3-year term, Anne Marty will be supported by Alexandre Merlin (STBMA, Saint-Gervais, Haute-Savoie - France) as Deputy President and Yves Dimier (Val Cenis, Savoie - France) as Vice-President.

In her first speech as President, Anne Marty emphasised the collective strength represented by the mountain industry, in particular the 250 ski lift operators and ski areas, and the extent to which the diversity of its members, including large, medium-sized and small resorts, is vital and unique for all regions, populations, public services, businesses and economic activity.... She pointed out that DSF members represent 19,000 employees and that over 120,000 jobs in France depend on the opening of French ski areas each season (shops, accommodation, ski schools, resort services, etc.).

The new President has announced the creation of a Corporate Social Responsibility unit within DSF, comprising three committees focusing on ‘employee health and safety’, ‘the environment’ and ‘solidarity’. This will enable to support DSF members and make collective progress in these areas, where the stakes are high. This future Corporate Social Responsibility unit will be headed by Alexandre Merlin, who will be assisted by two additional committee President, one for the environment and the other for solidarity.

Domaines Skiables de France (DSF) is the professional association for French ski area operators.Today it counts 412 members, comprising 238 active members (ski lift and ski area operators) and around 175 corresponding members (suppliers, builders, training centres, project managers, etc.). Ski areas are the main source of attraction for mountain resorts. They play a decisive role in the dynamic development of resorts, and are a key factor in the economic activity of resorts (shopkeepers, accommodation providers, ski and mountain professionals, etc.). Their activity is essential to maintaining employment and social life in the area. With more than a billion euros in annual revenue, 51,9 million skier-days and 19,000 employees in some twenty different professions, France is one of the world's top 3 ski resorts, alongside the USA and Austria.
