Andermatt + Sedrun + Disentis To Host Natural Selection Event

Andermatt+Sedrun+Disentis is thrilled to host a YETI Natural Selection DUEL during the first stage of the 2024 Natural Selection Tour. For the first time, a Natural Selection event is taking place in Europe. The brain- child of snowboarder Travis Rice, the Natural Selection Tour showcases the world’s top riders from Olympians to big mountain film icons all competing on the planet’s most ex- citing natural and naturally enhanced terrain. Natural Selection DUELS feature six iconic mountain venues from around the world, where head-to-head competition between two top riders will decide who moves on to the next stages in the 2024 Natural Selection Tour.

The Andermatt+Sedrun+Disentis area is one of the top freeride spots in the Swiss Alps. It is the sole European-based host this year. Steep, shady north facing mountains around Andermatt make it also one of the snowsecurest areas in the alps. The Gemsstock area is famous for its steep, long pistes and numerous deep snow descents. It is a place well-known among demand- ing skiers and is also an insider tip for freeriders.

The YETI Natural Selection DUEL held in Andermatt will feature a head-to-head competition between two of the world’s top snowboarders, snowboarders Kevin Backstrom Arthur Longo. It is probably the rider DUEL that fans will be most excited about this season. The riders will be riding the terrain at Gemsstock on down days in the competition window. All of the best action and the winners of Natural Selection DUELS will be unveiled in edited shows that will premiere starting in late February 2024 on Red Bull TV.

The winner of the Natural Selection DUEL competition held at Andermatt will join 18 returning and invited Natural Selection Tour riders for two LIVE competition days: the YETI Natural Selec- tion Revelstoke and YETI Natural Selection Selkirk Tangiers held during the March 10-17 competition window.
