Alterra Mountain Company Appoints Adam Knox As Senior Vice President Of Strategy And Corporate Development
Rusty Gregory, CEO of Alterra Mountain Company, today announced the appointment of Adam Knox as Senior Vice President of Strategy and Corporate Development.
Mr. Knox has spent the past 12 years at KSL Capital Partners, where he most recently served as Principal and was a member of the firm’s investment committee. While at KSL Capital Partners, he focused exclusively on targeting, negotiating and acquiring travel and leisure businesses. Mr. Knox played a critical leadership role in the complex acquisition and merger of Intrawest Resorts, Mammoth Resorts and Squaw Valley Alpine Meadows that led to the creation of Alterra Mountain Company.
He subsequently co-led Alterra Mountain Company’s successful acquisitions of Deer Valley Resort, Solitude Mountain Resort and Crystal Mountain Resort, and teamed up with Alterra Mountain Company leadership to develop many of Alterra Mountain Company’s 22 Ikon Pass partnerships. Mr. Knox has been a member of Alterra Mountain Company’s Board of Directors since its inception in August 2017.
In his new role, Mr. Knox will focus on the creation of company strategy, business model innovation and will be responsible for leading its acquisitions and resort partnership group.

Mr. Knox will be based out of Alterra Mountain Company’s Denver office.
