Alta Badia/South Tyrolean Dolomites Italy - Moments Of Pure Joy On Your Bicycle

Looking at the horizon while riding is a stimulus which propels the cyclists and, if you have the unique setting of the Dolomites UNESCO World Heritage to look at, everything becomes extraordinary. The tourist offer for cyclists in Alta Badia www.altabadia.org/bike<http://www.altabadia.org/bike> is called Bike Friendly and is for both road and mountain cyclists.

NEW TO 2018: THE BIKE BEATS ALTA BADIA TRAILS Calling all two-wheel adventure enthusiasts! From this year, in Alta Badia you can have even more fun thanks to the three new BIKE BEATS - ALTA BADIA TRAILS circuits set up at 2000 metres in the Piz Sorega area, in the heart of the Movim nt Area. These tracks are suitable both for mountain bikes and e-bikes. Mountain bikes can be hired at the Piz Sorega rental, while the e-bikes are part of the E-bike Sharing concept and, therefore, can be hired at one of the spots located on the Piz Sorega, Piz La Villa and Col Alto or in the valley at the Corvara and La Villa tourist offices. Thanks to the innovative E-bike Sharing, you can hire electrical Pinarello bicycles at one of these spots and return the bikes to a different rental spot. Cyclists can decide the level of difficulty of the tracks which are divided by colour: green (easy), blue (intermediate) and red (difficult). These are Country Flow circuits, so trails with no traffic, side railings and easy/medium difficulty jumps. The fact that you can choose varying levels of difficulty makes the Bike Beats Trails suitable both for families with children and young people and all those who wish to try the thrill of a descent on a trail entirely dedicated to cycling. For those who require protective gear, this can be hired at the beginning of the trails, but is not compulsory. All trails start from the same spot of the Piz Sorega and are divided based on colour. They ultimately converge in one point at the station at the bottom of the ski lift bearing the same name. At the end of the trail, you can wash your bike at the convenient bike wash station. Access to the Bike Beats - Alta Badia Trails is free and will be active from the summer opening of the ski lifts, on 16th June 2018.

Furthermore, there are two cycling events connected to the Bike Beats Trails. There is the "Rookies Cup" competition, an enduro challenge for U13s and U19s, scheduled for 7th and 8th July. This competition is a timed event. Competitors take it in turns to go down the mountain side on the red trail.  Another competition is the "E-Enduro Race" dedicated to e-bikes. This event takes place on 29th July on four tracks in total, starting from the red Bike Beats Trail. It then continues along other tracks of Alta Badia and Arabba, before returning to the Piz Sorega, where participants take on the blue trail to complete the competition.  www.moviment.it<http://www.moviment.it>
