Alta Badia/Maratona Dles Dolomites-Enel: A Maratona Filled With Light

“Each moment of light is, in its essence, a whisper of time, the echo of a moment that has already passed, reaching us like a work of art suspended in the sky. Like riding away on our bicycles. We leave long shadows, chasing the light. "Omnia quae sunt, lumina sunt" (All that exists is light), Ezra Pound reminds us in one of his writings. We are light because we ourselves are an emanation of a higher light. The sun will rise again on July 6th, and we will be there for the next Maratona, unconsciously kissed by the most precious gift, the light that illuminates the world” introducing the 2025 theme, Michil Costa, President of the Organizing Committee.

THE THEME LOGO

“To illuminate, to light up, to see the light, to emerge from darkness: how many messages can be drawn from the word Lüm – Light. The 2025-Maratona theme logo is compact and solid, yet completely shaped by the rays of the sun, deeply and entirely marked by light, a thin line capable of leaving a clear imprint.

The final M resembles the Maratona logo but also represents the peak of the Sassongher mountain, which is magically illuminated every year at 6:30 a.m. as we await the start of the race, offering a kind of reassurance, a gentle touch for all the excited cyclists. However, this is just a quick symbolization. Lighting up means much more. To illuminate oneself is to find one's inner light, which must mark us deeply like the rays in the logo. Our transformation must occur throughout our lives, helping us to see beyond the darkness and continue on our journey.” Manuel Bottazzo, graphic designer of the Maratona
