Alpenregion Bludenz Offers Environmentally Friendly Guest Mobility. Free Use Of Bus & Train With Brandnertal, Bludenz, Klostertal Guest Card
The climate-friendly arrival and on-site mobility are becoming increasingly important in tourism. Holiday guests in the Brandnertal, Klostertal and in the alpine town of Bludenz can use all means of transport of the Vorarlberg transport association (VVV) with the guest card at no extra charge. This is made possible by the project "Free travel by bus and train", which was initiated by Vorarlberg Tourismus, the VVV and the tourism destination Alpenregion Bludenz Tourismus and has enjoyed great popularity ever since.
Climate-friendly arrival by public transport
Switching to public transport is becoming more and more interesting, especially due to the currently high fuel prices and increased environmental awareness. “Nowadays, guests on vacation value climate friendliness. Our joint mobility project is one of many ways to make your stay more environmentally friendly,” says the new managing director of the Alpenregion Bludenz, Wiebke Meyer. “Mobility is a key lever in sustainable tourism development. Guests can reach all regions comfortably, safely and in an environmentally friendly way by bus and train, making public transport a real alternative to the car,” says Christian Schützinger, Managing Director of Vorarlberg Tourism.
Holiday destinations are easily accessible by bus and train
In addition to direct connections from Switzerland and the east of Austria via the Austrian Westbahn route, the new daily connection with the ÖBB Railjet from Frankfurt directly to the Alpine town of Bludenz offers a comfortable and at the same time climate-friendly journey. Then continue by bus to the accommodation. Thanks to the Brandnertal, Bludenz, Klostertal guest card, this is already possible free of charge from the border train stations. "For the transport association, the guest card is a very good way to draw the attention of guests to our excellent public transport offer in an uncomplicated and easily accessible manner. Many cable cars and popular holiday destinations in Vorarlberg and in the border towns can be easily reached by bus and train," says Christian Hillbrand, Managing Director of the Vorarlberg Transport Association, about the public transport offer in Vorarlberg.
High level of satisfaction with the public transport offer
According to the T-MONA guest survey in the tourism destination Alpenregion Bludenz Tourismus, the satisfaction of the guests with the public transport offer reached a high in the past three summer seasons. "Public transport in Vorarlberg always performs excellently in guest surveys: Most recently, they achieved 1.6 on a scale from 1 to 6. The value is only better in the city of Vienna," says Schützinger with satisfaction.
