La Sportiva Expands U.S. Staff To Accommodate Growth

La Sportiva announces the hiring of two key roles at their Boulder, Colorado offices. Nat Matthews is Financial Director and Darrin Young is National Sales Manager. Nat replaces Kellie Beran, who is retiring after 27 years of service to the brand and Darrin will work with the brand’s independent sales reps. Both have already joined the La Sportiva team in Boulder.

We have significant momentum in the market and the addition of Nat and Darrin brings a depth of knowledge to the team that has us poised for continued success.”

Darrin Young is an experienced sales leader with 10 years of retail experience at EMS and REI, followed by 6 years at Timberland/Smartwool and 5 years as the Smartwool National Sales and Marketing Manager focused on the Ski, Run, and Cycle specialty business. Darrin has most recently served for 4 years as Director of Sales at Sea to Summit. Darrin is a father of two and enjoy a variety of mountain sports including mountain biking, gravel riding, skiing, trail running and peak bagging.

Nat Matthews joins La Sportiva from The American Alpine Club, where he served as the Chief Operating and Financial Officer for the last seven years. Prior to the AAC, Nat worked as a financial and operational risk consultant for a Fortune 500 companies, including American Express, Boeing, Nautica, and First Solar. A father of two, he enjoys snowboarding, mountain biking, peak-bagging, fly fishing, and coaching his son’s youth football team in Golden.
