5Point Film Festival Announces Stio As Title Sponsor In 2020
5Point Film Festival, the adventure film festival rooted in sharing stories of human experiences in the outdoors, is proud to announce Stio as the title sponsor for the 13 annual film festival, taking place April 22-26, 2020 in Carbondale, Colo. Stio, an outdoor apparel company based in Jackson Hole, Wyo., will be on the ground for the duration of the festival for consumer activations, events and a pop-up retail experience.
Stio brings a new element to the festival for aspiring filmmakers this year with the Filmmaker Pitch Event. The Filmmaker Pitch Event will give a select number of filmmakers the opportunity to pitch their film ideas in front of a live audience, and the winner will be awarded a $10,000 grant from Stio. Submissions for the pitch event open March 13, 2020 at https://5pointfilm.org.
“Stio’s shared commitment to the outdoor community and support of great storytelling in the outdoors through filmmakers makes them an excellent partner for 5Point—a true filmmakers festival,” said Regna Jones, executive director of 5Point Film Festival. “We are excited to include the Filmmaker Pitch Event in this year’s festival, as it’s a meaningful way to support great storytelling in the outdoors and the filmmakers whose creativity and vision are at the heart of the festival.”
“Stio was founded to inspire a deeper connection with the outdoors," said Liz Barrett, brand director at Stio. "Sharing stories of how time outside can ignite balance, growth, relationships and empowerment is a core part of our brand. This is why we are thrilled to partner with 5Point, an organization that shares in those values and inspires a community to share in that experience.”
Founded in 2008, the 5Point Film Festival showcases curated, soulful outdoor films for four-days of non-stop adventure, live art and rich conversations. The festival discovers and promotes emerging talent as well as provides a space where filmmakers can connect year-over-year with each other, be celebrated by a committed audience, and make connections with brand and industry partners.
