33rd International Libro Balloon Cup Takes Place In Kirchberg - September 16th To 24th
They take off again - the hot air balloons. The International Libro Balloon Cup will take place in Kirchberg from September 16th to 24th for the 33rd time . More than 25 teams are taking to the skies these days and transforming the sky in the Kitzbühel Alps into a sea of balloons as part of their races.
It is not an everyday spectacle when the balloon lying on the ground slowly fills with hot air, sluggishly rises from the ground until it finally hovers over the basket, slowly pulls it up into the sky and disappears as a small dot a few kilometers up. This spectacle can be seen from September 16th to 24th as part of the International Libro Balloon Cup in Kirchberg. More than 25 teams from Austria, Germany, Great Britain and Switzerland will carry out their races this week. The wind navigates, with the different air currents at different altitudes, the balloonists maneuver over the mountains and through the valleys - landing point unknown. It is important to let yourself drift, because the journey is the goal. Anyone who wants to take to the skies themselves will have the opportunity to do so again this year at the International Libro Balloon Cup. The balloons with guests take off daily at around 8 a.m. and 5 p.m.
