The Styrian tourist region of Schladming-Dachstein consists of 13 municipalities and, with 3.9 million overnight stays annually, is one of the five largest tourist destinations in Austria. The wide range of outdoor activities offered by the region ranges from biking and hiking to golf, downhill skiing, and cross-country skiing. In addition to outdoor activities, the Schladming-Dachstein Tourist Board places particular emphasis on bringing regional culinary delights to life for guests and locals alike.
To this end, the "Alpine Culinary Experience" project was launched in collaboration with renowned Styrian chef Richard Rauch, among others. Through a diverse program of events, including the Ski Opening, Schladming-Dachstein offers a year-round spectrum of events that combine sports, regional traditions, enjoyment, and entertainment. To enhance the guest experience and offer exclusive benefits for guests and locals, the Schladming-Dachstein "FürDich Club" was launched in 2021.
In addition to the goal of creating unforgettable vacation experiences, the association also assumes responsibility for local residents under the motto "That's why tourism." Since 2021, Managing Director Mathias Schattleitner has headed the Schladming-Dachstein Tourism Association, which currently has around 50 employees. Andreas Keinprecht has served as Chairman of the Tourism Association since 2021. -----
