Kappl: New Diasbahn Cable Car In Summer 2025

2025 will bring an exciting innovation to the Kappl ski area: The Kappl cable cars will replace the old Diasbahn cable car with a state-of-the-art Doppelmayr gondola lift, which was previously in use at the 2023 Federal Garden Show in Mannheim. This new facility promises a combination of state-of-the-art technology and first-class comfort – tailored to the needs of guests in both summer and winter.
A technical upgrade for Kappl: progress and innovation for the mountains
The new gondola lift sets a benchmark in comfort and efficiency. With 41 cabins, each with space for ten people, the system ensures fast and smooth passenger transport. This significantly reduces waiting times, especially on busy days.
The cable car's innovative technology promises not only an optimal ride experience but also reliable performance – regardless of whether it's transporting skiers in winter or hikers in summer. For guests, this means a significant improvement in service and greater convenience on every visit.
Conservation of resources through reuse
By taking over the gondola lift from Mannheim, Bergbahnen Kappl is setting a precedent for sustainable action. Instead of building a new facility, the existing gondola lift was carefully dismantled, inspected, and prepared for use in Tyrol. This resource-efficient approach saves material and energy.
"With this decision, we want to contribute to protecting the environment without sacrificing quality and comfort," explains Andreas Kleinheinz, CEO of Bergbahnen Kappl AG. With this step, the company demonstrates that future-oriented innovation and resource conservation can go hand in hand.
More comfort for the guest experience: State-of-the-art technology for summer and winter
The new gondola lift is a significant upgrade for the Kappl ski area. Whether you're enjoying an active day of skiing or a relaxing summer hike, the facility offers a top-notch skiing experience.
With this investment, Bergbahnen Kappl is focusing on improving the guest experience and making a significant contribution to making the ski area more diverse and modern.
