Piste Quality Seal Awarded To Two Carinthian Ski Areas

LH Kaiser congratulates: Award confirms highest safety and quality standards in the ski area

The Weissensee ski area was awarded the piste quality seal for the first time. Even before that, Hochrindl was delighted to have been awarded this prize for the ninth time. For sports representative, Governor Peter Kaiser, the seal is a visual reminder of the high standards in the Carinthian mountains and of Carinthia's efforts to become the most child- and family-friendly region.

"The piste quality seal not only stands for safety, but also for the high quality in our ski areas. This is linked to sports and leisure fun, tourism, business, added value and jobs. The award increases the feel-good factor for winter sports enthusiasts and thus also ensures that our ski areas remain competitive," says Kaiser.

The requirements for the award are carefully checked by a special commission. The piste quality seal is then awarded to the ski areas for five years and must be renewed after that.

The Hochrindl ski area has 20 kilometers of slopes and seven ski lifts, a four-seater chairlift, five drag lifts and a connecting lift. The transport capacity is 6,850 people per hour. The Weissensee ski area has six kilometers of slopes and five ski lifts, a four-seater chairlift, four drag lifts and a children's rope lift. The transport capacity is 3,500 people per hour.
