Lenzerheide Bergbahnen AG & CEO Thomas Kung Split
The Board of Directors of Lenzerheide Bergbahnen AG and its CEO Thomas Küng have decided to end their cooperation after the 2024/25 winter season.
Chairman of the Board of Directors Felix Frei explains the reasons as follows: "Thomas Küng has made a significant contribution to the success of LBB during his term of office. However, there are different opinions regarding the goals and leadership of LBB for the future."
The Board of Directors would like to expressly thank Thomas Küng for his work. He has led the company carefully through a challenging period. The Corona crisis in 2021 was followed by the energy crisis and a winter with little snow. Despite these challenges, LBB was able to post the three best annual results in the company's history in the years under his leadership and is financially healthy. Thomas Küng has also achieved many quality improvements by increasing capacity at Rothorn 1 and the east-west connection as well as remodeling the Alp Stätz and Piz Scalottas restaurants. He has pushed ahead with the expansion of photovoltaics, developed new productions and, together with his team, implemented the replacement of the Täli chairlift. Internally, a lot has also been achieved with the replacement of IT, reorganization and cost savings.
The Board of Directors has already started succession planning and will communicate again in due course.
