Spring Events At Mt. Hood Meadows Kick Off This Weekend With Pride Day

The month of March begins this weekend and with it, the start of the Mt. Hood Meadows Spring Event lineup, which is one of the most fun times of the year on the mountain! The resort will have events happening almost every weekend from now through the end of the season, pairing well with the warm weather and sunny days that are part of the amazing spring skiing and riding at Meadows.

Check out the list below and visit Meadows' Special Events page for more info and updates!

  • March 2 - Pride Day:  Meadows' annual Pride Day celebration begins their slate of spring events, and like last season, a portion of the proceeds from the event will go to Columbia Gorge Pride Alliance. Sponsored by Migration Brewing, 503 Distilling, ON3P, and Arc'teryx, this event includes a family-friendly party in Vertical, a specially-priced lift ticket, discounted lesson packages, discounted snowshoe tours, raffles, and more.
  • March 8 - Ski ALS: This annual event organized by ALS Northwest raises funds to provide comprehensive support and advocacy for people with ALS and their families, while advancing treatments for new treatments and an end to ALS. This event includes a number of fun ski challenges, food and beverages, and raffles.
  • March 9 - End of Nights Party in the Park: Meadows says goodbye to Night Ops this season with a rail jam held in the Easy Rider park zone. You'll need a ticket or pass to access this area, but the event itself is free and open to everyone who wants to ride. They'll also have a raffle with prizes from Oakley, Illusive, Stance, and LT1.
  • March 9 & 10 - Oregon Cancer Ski Out: This 37th annual event provides fun, competition, and fundraising in a unique race format that rewards consistency and teamwork rather than individual speed. Participants raise money for Bucks to Buck Cancer, a peer-to-peer campaign.
  • March 15 - SheJumps Junior Ski Patrol Day: This is the second year in a row Meadows has partnered with SheJumps to have this awesome event at the resort. Girls will learn what it takes to be a ski patroller, learning mountain safety and first aid while working with the strong women of the Mt. Hood Meadows Ski Patrol. This event is open to all girls ages 8-15 who can ski or snowboard at the intermediate level or above.
  • March 16 - Demo Day: This popular event is a great way to learn about and try the latest ski and snowboard gear and help inform yourself before making your next purchase. Meadows is partnering with Hillcrest Sports again this year for the event, with part of the proceeds from the registration fee going to Oregon Adaptive Sports. Meadows has a substantial lineup of vendors confirmed for Demo Day, but watch the event page for more vendors to be added.
  • March 22 - Spring Brew Fest: The Spring Brew Fest is also back this season, featuring some of the best craft beers in the Pacific Northwest, with a focus on Gorge and Portland-area breweries. Enjoy live music, food, and raffles while sipping your beer! Watch the event page for info on featured breweries.
  • April 5 - Full Sail Banked Slalom: April events start with the 17th Annual Full Sail Banked Slalom! Try your luck in the Tunnel of Love in this two-run snowboard-only format that features great prizes; top male and female finishers will each receive a Slash snowboard.
  • April 11 & 12 - Everybody's Mazot Fest: An event to celebrate both everyone's favorite spot on the mountain, the Mazot, and everyone's favorite employees, the Avy Dogs! Everybody's Brewing is once again the sponsor for the event, which features a slalom race, music, raffles, and a BBQ. All proceeds go to benefit the Mt. Hood Meadows Avy Dog program.
  • April 26 - Suits and Boots: Suits and Boots returns to the resort's spring lineup as a one-day event sponsored by Migration Brewing and 503 Distilling! Meadows will be selling a limited number of discounted lift tickets, with a portion of the proceeds going to the Citizens' Climate Lobby (CCL). Dress up in any kind of suit (except your birthday suit) – that means bathing suits, three-piece suits, leisure suits, snowmobile suits, wetsuits, suits of armor – and enjoy the DJ and party on the deck.
  • May 3 - Double Mountain Pond Skim: Double Mountain returns as the sponsor for the annual Pond Skim – the biggest, most epic, most popular event at Meadows! Get ready to skim across 100 feet of frigid water and compete for some awesome prizes. Awards for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd places, as well as for Best Splash, Best Costume, and Best Overall Impression. $10 of the $50 competitor registration fee will be donated to Special Olympics of Oregon (SOOR). Don't want to compete? Watch the action in the base area!
