Pats Peak Announces New Family-friendly Quad Lift For 2025-2026 Season

Pats Peak, New Hampshire’s premier snowsports destination, is excited to announce a major upgrade for the 2025-2026 ski season: the Hurricane Triple Chairlift will take its final ride at the end of March, making way for a new, family-friendly fixed-grip quad lift featuring a loading conveyor for smoother and more efficient loading. Designed and built by SkyTrac Ski Lifts of Utah, this new lift will enhance access to key areas of the mountain while improving the overall guest experience.
Serving Pats Peak skiers and riders since 1977, the Hurricane Triple Chair has been a reliable part of the mountain’s lift system for nearly five decades. While its retirement marks the end of an era, this new quad lift represents the future of Pats Peak, offering enhanced comfort, accessibility, and efficiency for both beginners and experienced skiers and snowboarders.
The Patenaude family, owners and operators of Pats Peak since its founding in 1963, remain committed to delivering the best possible snow experience. Immediately following the close of the season, work will begin to dismantle the Hurricane lift. This summer, two trusted local New Hampshire contractors - Pfister Mountain Services and Phoenix Excavation - will lead construction efforts, ensuring the project stays on track for a winter 2025-2026 opening.
The new quad will be installed in the same location but with several key improvements aimed at making the lift more family-friendly and efficient:
- A gentler approach for easier loading, reducing hesitation and improving guest comfort
- A state-of-the-art loading conveyor to streamline operations and enhance efficiency
- A redesigned queue area to improve flow and accessibility for all ability levels
- A raised unload area for better access to Twister, FIS Race, and the Cascade Basin network
To commemorate the legacy of the Hurricane Triple, Pats Peak will be offering its triple chairs for sale to the public. A limited number will be reserved for local charities, allowing organizations to raffle them off as fundraisers.
- Guests interested in purchasing a chair can visit patspeak.com/chairsale for more details.
- Recognized charities can request a chair donation by emailing marketing@patspeak.com.
- Season passholders will get first access, with sales opening to the public afterward.
“This new lift is an exciting step forward for Pats Peak,” said Kris Blomback, Pats Peak General Manager. “We are dedicated to continuous improvements that enhance the skiing and riding experience for all of our guests, and we look forward to welcoming everyone to enjoy the benefits of this new quad next season.”
