Halti Re-Certified As A WWF Green Office

WWF audited Halti’s headquarters and renewed their Green Office certification, recognizing Halti's daily environmental work.

Halti’s headquarters in Sipoo has been a certified WWF Green Office since 2022. Through Green Office, they’ve built an environmental program to reduce the workplace’s carbon footprint and use natural resources responsibly. Every three years, a WWF Green Office inspector audits their efforts, and just recently done inspection confirmed they’re on the right track.

“I’m incredibly proud of our headquarters team. Everyone has committed to our shared goals and understands the importance of small, everyday choices. This certification is a great proof point for us and an inspiring message to our customers and followers,” says Laura Roman, Halti’s Head of Sustainability issues.

"Using WWF Green Office tools, we set goals, track progress, and report results annually. We’ll share the results of our 2024 environmental efforts and our new goals for the year ahead this spring. Renewing the certification now shows that sustainability is not just a value for us—it’s embedded in how we run our office, make decisions, and operate day to day."

The WWF Green Office environmental management system helps your workplace reduce its carbon footprint and use natural resources sustainably. Currently WWF Finland offers Green Office only to offices in Finland.

Green Office includes a model that you can use to build a suitable environmental management system for your organisation, allowing you to reduce your workplace’s carbon footprint and use natural resources sustainably. The only way to find the biggest improvement needs is to assess your initial situation.

The self-assessment of the Green Office environmental management system can be used to discover the causes of your office’s harmful environmental impacts. After the assessment, you can use the results to prepare an annual plan, also known as your environmental programme. The Green Office comes with everything prepared for you to set objectives for your workplace and measure and monitor their achievement. Once your office’s environmental management system is ready and the office has been audited, your organisation will be awarded with the WWF Green Office certificate.

The certificate indicates that the environmental management system of the organisation is implemented in compliance with external criteria, and that the organisation is committed to continuously improving its activities. In addition, the environmental certificate lets your customers and stakeholders know that you are really taking effective action.
