Australia’s Biggest Mountain Bike Festival Kicks Off In Thredbo

The most anticipated event on the Australian mountain biking calendar kicked off in Thredbo on 10th February, with 750 competitors already descending on the region. With over $120k in cash and prizes up for grabs, Australia’s only lift-accessed mountain bike park is set to buzz with racers eager to put their skills to the test.

The Osprey All-Mountain Enduro will launch a thrilling week of racing tomorrow, February 11, followed by the Fox Flow Motion Cup on Wednesday, the Maxxis Dual Slalom on Thursday, the Oakley Pump Track Challenge on Friday, and the RockShox Australian Open Downhill on Saturday.

Spectators are in for a treat with the Deity Whip Wars taking centre stage on Saturday, February 15, at 5pm – a high-octane event that always draws a massive crowd. The official closing party later that evening is also set to be a highlight, featuring the popular Australian indie band Babe Rainbow.

With the biggest names in Australian mountain biking in attendance – including Troy Brosnan, Jack Moir, Sian A’Hern, Caroline Buchanan, and Kye A’Hern – all eyes will be on the battle for the coveted King and Queen of Cannonball titles.
