Talking Dreads Headlines 4th Annual Spring Fling Concert At Sugarbush

Sugarbush Resort’s annual Spring Fling Concert, started in 2022, returns Saturday, April 12th with an all new lineup of bands and a reggae vibe.
Talking Dreads headlines the concert. Since debuting his musically revolutionary Talking Dreads project live at the High Times Music Festival on the beach in Negril in late 2015, the charismatic Jamaican-born singer Mystic Bowie and his band Talking Dreads have electrified audiences at over 100 shows across North America – spinning the heads of initially skeptical Talking Heads fans, and getting everyone else grooving along to the infectious, joyous rhythms and jubilant spirit of his native island.
The all-day event will also welcome music from Van Gordon Martin, a sonic chameleon and deeply creative artist. Performing live with a wide range of musical styles. VGM is a multi-instrumental producer and powerhouse on lead guitar.
Reggae DJ Satta Sound rounds out the event, blending RASTAFARI music from the Virgin Islands, Trinidad, Jamaica, Africa, Europe, NYC, California, VT and Conscious Artists Worldwide.
The concert kicks off at noon with DJ Satta Sound, followed by Van Gordon Martin, and then Talking Dreads taking the stage at 2:30 PM. DJ Satta Sound will play in between sets and after Talking Dreads as well.
Sugarbush is also going to be running a food drive through its Be Better Here Fund to benefit the Mad River Valley Community Pantry. While the concert is free of charge, attendees are encouraged to bring a non-perishable food item to donate.
Food and drink will be available at multiple dining venues throughout the day. The resort will also have a photobooth to help capture some unforgettable memories sponsored by Heinz. Kate’s Real Food, another sponsor, will be on premise giving out free samples. Ikon Pass will also be selling passes in the Lincoln Peak Courtyard.
