Spring In Schladming-Dachstein: Hit The Ski Slopes In The Morning And Bike In The Afternoon

Winter is slowly approaching its final stretch, and spring has already shown its first signs with plenty of sunshine and pleasant temperatures. For sporty vacationers in the Austrian holiday region of Schladming-Dachstein, this means hitting the ski slopes in the morning and biking in the afternoon.
Many ski mountains will remain open until Easter, and for bikers, the "Singletrack Haus-Aich" opens on April 11, 2025, with an attractive offer: free use until May 28, 2025. Holders of the Schladming-Dachstein Summer Card can even use the trail park free of charge until fall. Its sunny location allows for an early start and operation until early November.
The Haus-Aich singletrack is ideal for beginners and families. There's a brand-new highlight for children: As part of the new "Bikeland Heroes" puzzle rally, riders can solve challenging puzzles along the three varied loops alongside characters like Madame Flow, Jumper, and Dr. Drop. The rally was designed to offer an entertaining experience for both children and adults of all skill levels.
Andreas Keinprecht, Chairman of the Schladming-Dachstein Tourist Board, emphasizes: " We see ourselves as a year-round destination in the region, offering activities for all four seasons. In this sense, it's a perfect symbiosis for our guests to still find excellent snow conditions on the ski slopes in spring and, alternatively or additionally, to be able to hop on their bikes and enjoy a beautiful trail park like the Haus-Aich singletrack ."
Also suitable for cyclists without mountain biking experience The five-kilometer singletrack opened just two years ago. The trail center is unique in the German-speaking world and features a particularly environmentally friendly, sustainable, and robust construction. The narrow bike paths are also suitable for cyclists without mountain biking experience. The route is particularly interesting for families with children, as the five-kilometer route has only 40 meters of elevation gain. This makes the track perfect for warming up.
By the way: The Haus-Aich singletrack is open daily. Bikes and the necessary protective gear are available for rental at Bikeworld Bründl. Further information is available online at www.schladming-dachstein.at/singletrack .
