SIGB Snow Test Going To Italy In 2026

The SIGB Snow Test 2026 (Slide on Snow) will take place in Champoluc in Italy. This traditional mountain town in the Monterosa ski area, offers an exciting new test location and access to extensive, varied terrain, ideal for putting next season’s gear through its paces. With quick lap turnarounds and efficient lift infrastructure, Champoluc provides an ideal setting for focused testing, easy logistics, and all with great value and Italian hospitality.

Test organisers, Hillside Outside, are working hard to get all the details together (including some great accommodation options) but in the meantime, here are the key details to help you start planning:

Test Date:

• 26–30 January 2026

Location:

• Champoluc, Aosta Valley — a stunning, traditional mountain town in the heart of the Monterosa ski area
• Close to Cervinia and Zermatt
• Access to 132km of piste, approximately 20 uplifts

Transfers:

• 1 hr 30 mins from Turin
• 2 hrs from Milan Malpensa
• 3 hrs from Geneva

Key Details:

• Large, sunny test site at 2000m, with a much larger indoor boot room (complete with heaters) meaning no boot tent required
• Fast, four-person chairlift right next to the event village; under 5 minutes to a FIS-quality red run and a choice of blue pistes with 480m of vertical
• Just one more 5-minute fast chair takes you up to 2700m
• Very quiet midweek lift queues in January, ideal for efficient testing
• Excellent variety of off-piste terrain, including tree skiing
• Resort offering excellent discounts on lift passes for attendees

Test Site Logistics:

• No daily loading or reloading of test kit, site is accessed by funicular, and kit will remain on the hill throughout the Test
• Secure indoor overnight storage available on-site

Participation Requirements:

• All brands and suppliers must remain on site from Monday morning to Thursday evening
• Friday is planned as a more relaxed, social ski/test day for those who wish to stay
