Bartholet - Construction Update Monte Tamaro
The construction of the new gondola lift at Monte Tamaro is progressing according to plan. Since May 2024, work has been underway to replace the existing installation with a brand-new gondola lift, set to open for the 2025 season. The top station is being relocated closer to the Alpe Foppa restaurant, requiring an adjustment to the cableway route.
The new 8-seater panoramic gondolas, designed by Studio F. A. Porsche, offer greater comfort and an even better view of the stunning Ticino mountain landscape. Sustainability has also been a key focus: fewer towers, more compact stations, and a photovoltaic system at the valley station contribute to a more eco-friendly operation.
