Boasting 113 bedrooms, suites and loft apartments, the unique design will evoke the essence of the surrounding alpine forests with a nod to the Savoie region, including wooden features and earthy tones. Experimental Chalet will house two restaurants - one a rustic retreat serving a tasty wood fire menu of traditional dishes and all things cheese, and the other serving hearty sharing platters amongst cosy decor. The new gondola promises a quicker, safer and more comfortable experience, and most importantly, one with a lower environmental impact on the natural area.

For parents, early mornings can be spent on a private, chef-guided tour of the Folie Douce kitchens to learn how to make traditional homemade apple turnovers, followed by an indulgent breakfast overlooking Mont Blanc and finishing with a lively cabaret rehearsal. Those who prefer a moment of relaxation can opt for the weekly Yoga Brunch instead, which features an indoor or outdoor yoga, pilates, or gym session at one of the special winter wellness rendez-vous. For foodies, La Folie Douce will be celebrating 30 years of La Fruitière with a cheese festival from the 16th - 22nd December; expect festivities with local cheesemakers and Michelin-star chefs as well as a closing banquet to honour and highlight the history of cheese.
