New AirFlare Pricing Plan Based On Ski Area Size

AirFlare, the leading provider of search and location technology for ski resorts, is introducing a new pricing plan that makes its life-saving platform accessible to ski areas of all sizes. The new pricing structure is based on the National Ski Area Association's metric of Vertical Transportation Feet per Hour, aka VTFH, ensuring ski areas pay a fair and reasonable fee for the service, which can be further reduced through simple promotional partnerships.

Affordable pricing tailored to ski area size

The new pricing plan is as follows:

Small Ski Areas (<3000 VTFH): Annual Service Fee: $750 |
Promotion Deduction: $500 | Annual Renewal Fee with Promotion: $250

Medium Ski Areas (3001-6000 VTFH): Annual Service Fee: $2,000 | Promotion Deduction: $1,000 | Annual Renewal Fee with Promotion: $1,000

Large Ski Areas (6001-12,000 VTFH): Annual Service Fee: $3,500 | Promotion Deduction: $1,000 | Annual Renewal Fee with Promotion: $2,500

Extra Large Ski Areas (>12,000 VTFH): Annual Service Fee: $5,000 Promotion Deduction: $1,000 | Annual Renewal Fee with Promotion: $4,000

AirFlare co-founder Denis Lee said the promotion deduction is designed to offer ski resorts substantial value while making it easy for them to promote the app to their guests.

"We designed AirFlare to not only enhance the safety of guests but to significantly reduce operational strain on patrol teams,” Lee said. “Our proven track record shows that resorts using AirFlare are able to offset their annual costs by optimizing their response efforts, ultimately saving money while saving lives.”

White paper proves cost-effectiveness

The AirFlare platform is not only affordable but also proven to save ski areas money through increased operational efficiencies. As detailed in the recently published AirFlare White Paper, the platform’s annual subscription fee is easily offset by the savings generated from improved day-to-day operations. By reducing the time and resources required to locate and assist guests, AirFlare allows ski patrols to operate more efficiently, cutting down on operational expenses while improving response times.

Advanced communication with Subject Chat

In addition to the new pricing, Lee said AirFlare continues to innovate with features that enhance the safety and efficiency of ski area operations.

“The Subject Chat feature allows ski resort responders to communicate directly with guests in need, even in areas with low signal strength,” Lee said. “This capability is crucial in guiding guests to safety or providing immediate instructions to help them self-rescue, often reducing the need for more intensive search and rescue efforts.”

Improved location coordinate shareability

To further streamline rescue operations, AirFlare has enhanced the shareability of location coordinates. Lee said responders can now share the precise coordinates of a guest in need with their native or preferred mapping platform, making it easier and faster to locate the guest and provide assistance.

Take advantage of AirFlare’s new pricing and features

Lee encourages ski area decisionmakers to review AirFlare’s white paper to understand the full range of benefits offered by the platform. With its cutting-edge features and new pricing model, AirFlare is the ideal solution for ski areas looking to enhance guest safety while controlling costs.
