New Cat Skiing and Snowmobile Tours

The launch of the new Schweitzer Backcountry Adventures is set to take the season to new heights, offering access to more than 4,350 acres of pristine backcountry terrain. Skiers and snowboarders looking for untouched powder can head out on guided snowcat tours that explore open fields, steep glades, and natural features. With a maximum of 24 guests each day, the all-day excursions promise an intimate mountain experience with up to eight runs and 10,000 vertical feet of skiing or riding. The snowcat area includes more than 75 west-facing fall line trails that feature untracked powder fields and glades for intermediate to expert-level skiers and riders.

For family-friendly winter fun, Schweitzer Backcountry Adventures will also offer guided snowmobile tours starting mid-December, weather permitting. These two-hour or half-day trips will be a thrilling adventure through the resort’s breathtaking backcountry with routes designed to showcase the rugged beauty of the landscape. The trips will be suited for everyone from seasoned snowmobilers to those trying it for the first time.

With Schweitzer’s 300 inches of annual snowfall, Schweitzer Backcountry Adventures is sure to deliver the deep powder and exhilarating terrain that winter dreams are made of. From untouched runs to secluded glades, this is backcountry skiing and snowboarding at its best.
