Gstaad Joins Magic Pass From Summer 2025
Magic Pass strengthens its status as a leading provider of multi-resort offers in Switzerland with the integration of the Gstaad destination from summer 2025. This strategic expansion coincides with a successful 2024 summer season and record sales for 2024/2025.
Gstaad: an exceptional new destination for 2025
From the 2025 summer season, Gstaad will join the Magic Pass, offering Magic Pass holders new opportunities to discover the western Bernese Oberland and the Vaud Alps. The Gstaad destination, which includes Rougemont (VD), Schönried, Saanenmöser, Zweisimmen and St. Stephan, will further enrich the visitor experience. With its breathtaking landscapes and wide range of activities, Gstaad will be a valuable addition to the existing offer. This expansion strengthens the position of Magic Pass as an attractive offer for enjoying the mountains all year round, in summer as well as in winter.
Pierre Besson, President of the Magic Mountains Cooperative, is delighted with this addition: "The integration of Gstaad demonstrates our commitment to continually enriching our customers' experience. We are delighted with this collaboration, which strengthens our position as a leading provider of leisure activities in the mountains."
Matthias In-Albon, CEO of Bergbahnen Destination Gstaad AG , adds: "With Magic Pass, we are opening a new chapter for Gstaad. This pass offers our visitors maximum flexibility and comfort. The Magic Pass is a game changer and a convenience product. It makes it easy for our guests to discover the impressive slopes and offers of our region. We are delighted to be part of this innovative pass, which allows our guests to enjoy the beauty of our mountains all year round."
Robust summer visitor numbers despite the weather
Despite changeable weather conditions, summer visitor numbers in 2024 at Magic Pass partner resorts increased slightly. This result reflects the continued attractiveness of the mountains for Magic Pass holders and confirms the growing popularity of the offer throughout the year.
Overview of sales figures: goals achieved
Sales of the Magic Pass 2024/2025 are increasing sharply. Over 192,000 subscriptions have already been sold following the price change on October 1st. This figure represents an increase of over 17,600 Magic Passes (+10% compared to the previous year). Total sales are forecast to reach 197,000 subscriptions, which will allow the budget targets set for the year to be met. The growing popularity of the subscription is particularly evident in the cantons of Bern, Zurich, Solothurn, Aargau, Lucerne and Basel, all of which are seeing an increase of +20%. New stations have also joined the Magic Pass this year in Geneva, which has seen an increase of +10%.
