Evo Unveils New Hotels In Tahoe & Japan

evo, the global outdoor experiences company, announced what’s new for the 2024/2025 winter season, including the opening of two new hotels, evo Hotel Hakuba in Japan and evo Hotel Tahoe City at Campus Tahoe City in California, as well as exciting new offerings at the iconic Journeyman Lodge in Whistler, British Columbia. For those eager to explore even further, evoTrip is rolling out a refreshed offering of expertly curated adventures in iconic locations in Japan, France, and Austria, promising once-in-a-lifetime small group and private travel experiences. Whether hitting the slopes or relaxing après-ski, this winter evo provides the perfect mix of adventure and hospitality.

The Journeyman Lodge, located in The Callaghan, just 15 minutes south of Whistler, marked evo’s first venture into hospitality in 2021.   • Opening in winter 2025, evo’s new Campus Tahoe City will feature a highly amenitized evo Hotel, with spaces curated by professional snowboarder and climate activist Jeremy Jones across the property’s 48 rooms. Located within the historic Tahoe Inn building, the new Sierra Surf Club will offer an immersive food and beverage experience, perfect for unwinding after legendary outdoor adventures—with 100% of profits supporting Protect Our Winters (POW), a climate advocacy organization.
  • The campus will also feature a curated retail experience, offering products from Jones, Season EquipmentOyuki, evo, and more, alongside services for ski, snowboard, and mountain bike equipment.
  • Situated on the shores of North Lake Tahoe in Tahoe City, just across from Commons Beach, the campus provides locals and visitors easy access to year-round recreation. evo is committed to preserving the history of the Tahoe City Inn and America’s Best Value Inn through a thoughtful restoration process that pays homage to the site’s rich heritage.

evo Hotel Hakuba – Hakuba, Japan

  • Welcoming guests in December 2024, the newly renovated evo Hotel Hakuba is a haven for snow enthusiasts, located just minutes from the largest resort in Japan’s Hakuba Valley. The hotel offers 27 guest rooms, with breakfast included, and various options including family, compact, and single rooms. Guests can enjoy a communal onsen with stunning views of Happo-One Resort and the Japanese Alps, a welcoming lobby bar, retail space, and an on-site restaurant.

Journeyman Lodge, Whistler, British Columbia

  • Nestled in the pristine wilderness of British Columbia, just 24 minutes from Whistler, Journeyman Lodge offers the ultimate winter escape for adventure seekers. With access to 17,000 acres of human-powered backcountry touring terrain and over 60 km of trails for Nordic skiing and snowshoeing through The Base at The Callaghan (Nordic Centre), it’s a paradise for winter enthusiasts.
  • New this winter, Journeyman Lodge is introducing more lodge packages, easily accessible in-house guided backcountry touring experiences, new local art installations, and fresh libations to cap off a day outdoors. The Base at The Callaghan will feature the new Callaghan Sauna, operated by Finnish Sauna, the Callaghan Café housed in a unique double-decker bus, expanded offerings at the evo Callaghan Ski Shop, and an Avalanche Beacon Plot, provided by Arc’teryx and Mammut.
  • Early bird pricing for season passes to The Callaghan is now available, offering access to 50 km of groomed Nordic trails and 15 km of scenic snowshoe routes, including those at Alexander Falls and Finger Lakes.

NEW Experiences
