Colorado Gives 9 New Reasons To Hit The Slopes This Winter

In the winter months, avid snow enthusiasts flock to Colorado for an adventure holiday to remember. Boasting 30 ski resorts with impressive terrain, Colorado is a bucket list destination for those who love the slopes

  • Ski World Cup racing in Beaver Creek (06-15 December) The Men’s and women’s Audi FIS Alpine Ski World Cup races will be held on the famed Birds of Prey course at Beaver Creek Resort on back-to-back weekends for the first time ever this December. The racing will be paired with a multi-day festival. 
  • Access expert terrain at Copper MountainCopper Mountain will upgrade the Timberline Express chairlift replacing the 4-person chairlift with a high-speed 6-pack chairlift. The chair replacement is a continuation of the resort's Western Territory expansion and will increase access to some of Copper Mountain's most sought-after intermediate groomed terrain.
  • Killer transformations at Keystone Resort Last season, Keystone Resort transformed its on-mountain ski experience by adding over 500 acres of lift-served terrain with the Bergman Express Chairlift. This year, Keystone's River Run Village is undergoing a transformation of its own with the debut of Keystone's premier luxury development Kindred Resort scheduled to open in summer 2025.
  • Ski for Less at Purgatory Resort Purgatory Resort will offer several new upgrades across the resort, including enhancements to the Hermosa Park Express Lift #3 and an expanded retail footprint. The resort's demand-based pricing strategy returns, with lift tickets on sale starting at $9 on select dates.
  • Relax after a day of skiing on Silverton Mountain Silverton Mountain, under new ownership, invested further in forest health and mitigation work that will result in more and better tree skiing this winter. Silverton Mountain will also have a dedicated post ski bar location in town geared at Silverton Mountain guests and reinvigorating an old local watering hole.
  • Dress the part at Vail Resorts Vail Resorts will launch My Epic Gear providing access to slopeside premium gear across Colorado Vail resorts including Vail Mountain, Beaver Creek, Breckenridge, Keystone and Crested Butte. This is a first-of-its-kind membership that combines the luxury of owning high-quality gear and the customer service of a premium valet.
  • Celebrate 85 years of Wolf Creek Ski Area Wolf Creek Ski Area will celebrate its 85th season with several anniversary happenings.
  • Explore the smaller ski areas for a smaller price Whilst Colorado is known for its big name resorts, Colorado Ski Country offers a GEMS Card that provides discounts and savings at 11 of Colorado’s smaller ski areas across the state.
  • Aspen Snowmass unveils major renovations  Aspen Snowmass will debut an all-new high-speed quad at Snowmass. While Coney Express will effectively replace the existing Coney Glade chair, the new lift will extend down to the Snowmass base area, providing a new access point to the mountain and significantly increasing Snowmass’ out-of-base capacity. Snowmass’ Lynn Britt Cabin will reopen this winter following a major renovation with an expanded outdoor patio, grill and bar area. Renewed experiences including après parties and specials, live entertainment, and the return of snowcat dinners will be featured throughout the winter season. Aspen Snowmass celebrates its 20th anniversary of sharing art across its mountains and community through Art In Unexpected Places(ArtUP), and a renewed partnership with the Aspen Art Museum. Together, Aspen Snowmass and the Aspen Art Museum are pleased to announce this season’s lift ticket artist as Alex Israel.
