Whether guests are looking for self-catered or hotel luxury, short or long stays, there are options for everyone looking to make the most of the 2024-45 alpine season.

Make the Most of Off-Peak Pistes

Ski smart this year by booking when the slopes are quietest at the beginning and end of the season, whilst making the most of unbeatable discounts. The months of December and April allow you to ski without the crowds and queues, whilst Val d’Isère remains a vibrant village with a wide range of shops, bars and restaurants. Skiers won’t want to miss ‘First Tracks’, on opening weekend from 30th of November - 1st of December 2024, when the ski area opens to the public with 30% discounts on ski passes when booked through Val d’Isère Reservation. The end-of-season celebrations offer a vibrant insight into cultural, musical and sporting events that keep the village buzzing. From mid-April until the 4th of May 2025, Ski and Chill boasts a comprehensive schedule of events and packages including an incredible 40% discount on ski passes, and accommodation.

Under-eight’s Ski for Free!

Future Olympians start here, as little skiers are encouraged to explore the whole Tignes – Val d’Isère ski area, with free ski passes from the bottom of the slopes right up to the glaciers. Families can make the most of the extensive ski area and its facilities with their young children, from the Val Kids area, at the top of the Solaise, to the Village Perdu, an on-slope adventure area for both children and teenagers. This area is completely free to enter, and located in the heart of the Etroits forest, standing at a height of 2,000 m. In the Village Perdu there is an outdoor play and relaxation area, providing a welcome break from a long day’s skiing. Skiers can wander through the picturesque trees on suspended walkways which lead to wooden tree houses, ending at the Eagle’s Nest.

Solaise - Gentle Skiing for Families

For those looking for a calm, beginner-friendly skiing experience, Val d'Isere’s Solaise sector has its own lift pass, priced at €47 for the day, so beginners can learn to ski at altitude without breaking the bank. The area boasts a diverse range of slopes including three blue and nine green, encompassed by breathtaking panoramic views of the surrounding mountains. As well as this, there are eight modern ski lifts including the PIM-PAM and POUM magic carpets, which are ideal for those who are building their confidence on the pistes.

Families can also explore the Val Kids area, which includes an adventure slope for children, an exciting sledging area, and a play area where they can learn more about the mountains. Kids can also access ski school with professional ski instructors offering lessons tailored to young learners.

Affordable Dining in the Alps

Val d’Isere is also known for its impressive selection of restaurants, ranging from fine-dining establishments to traditional savoyard spots with affordable prices. There is no need to sacrifice gourmet dining on the slopes, as skiers can head to the Pisaillas glacier, where La Cascade restaurant welcomes all with hearty dishes on its large sunny terrace. On the Bellevarde side, Les Marmottes stands out for its delicious family cooking and value for money.

For those who prefer to bring their own lunch, Val d’Isere provides both Solaise and La Daille lounges, picnic rooms and services for all skiers to enjoy lunch in the mountains. The Lounge de Solaise features a dining area with tables and sofas, a café and play area, as well as a small gallery that houses exhibitions. There is even a letterbox where visitors can send Val d’Isère postcards to their loved ones back at home. La Daille, another cosy, sheltered picnic area, positioned near the gondola station, is the perfect place for skiers and snowboarders to take a break and enjoy a delicious lunch, sheltered from the elements.

Free Events and Activities

Throughout the resort, guests are invited to discover a range of free après-ski activities on the snow front. From snooc to human curling, snake gliss to airboarding, everyone is welcome to try something new this year and enjoy all that snowsports has to offer. Numerous free events are also available, including the ESF instructors’ torch-lit descent, alpine ski races on a night-time parallel slalom, as well as witnessing the arrival of Santa Claus during the festive season!

Getting around the resort couldn't be easier with free access to the Village Shuttle Bus. Every 5 minutes, up until 2am, the eco-friendly flight of shuttles gives visitors access to the various hamlets and the bottom of the slopes. Whilst reducing the amount of traffic caused by personal vehicles, these buses are also either fully electric or running on HVO recycled biofuel, part of Val d’Isère’s commitment to sustainability.
