Park City Mountain Set To Open November 22

Park City Mountain, the largest lift-served ski and snowboard resort in the United States, will open Friday, Nov. 22 for the 2024/25 winter season with at least 325 acres of terrain. Mountain access will be available from both Mountain Village and Canyons Village base areas. The resort is poised to quickly open additional early season terrain in Canyon’s Village thanks to a new snowmaking enhancement project on Another World and Chicane. This investment in snowmaking delivers an expanded early season offering while improving guest access to other parts of the mountain and it adds to the resort’s incredible snowmaking operation – Utah's largest.

“The start of the ski and ride season is a celebration our guests, community and team members look forward to each year,” said Park City Mountain Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, Deirdra Walsh. “We are incredibly excited to welcome everyone back for the 2024/25 season on Friday. I have immense gratitude for our entire Park City Mountain team, whose dedication, passion, and hard work have made this all possible. We have so much to look forward to this season — new snowmaking enhancements at Canyons Village will give us access to favorite runs earlier than ever, a welcoming and inclusive lineup of events across both base areas, and some new fun surprises planned for guests to enjoy.”

Thanks to nearly 30 inches of natural snow since late October, and perfect weather for snowmaking, Park City Mountain will offer guests an excellent Opening Day terrain package. On Opening Day guests will have access to ten trails and 3 Kings terrain park served by lifts and carpets across two base villages.

  • Mountain Village Lift Access: First Time, Payday, 3 Kings and Tommy Knocker (carpet)
  • Canyons Village Lift Access: Cabriolet, Red Pine Gondola, Saddleback, High Meadow, and Sweet Pea (carpet)

Park City Mountain will also be offering activities and dining, including the Mountain Coaster and Flying Eagle Zipline. On-mountain and base area dining will be available on Opening Day at Legacy Cafe, Legends Bar and Grill, Jupiter Java, Red Pine Lodge, Red Tail Grill, Umbrella Bar and Murdock’s. Guests who are learning to ski or snowboard can book lessons for Opening Day with one of Park City Mountain’s world class instructors.

While the resort will continue snowmaking to expand terrain offerings in the coming weeks, guests should take advantage of the final days to purchase an Epic Pass before they go off sale on Dec. 2. The Epic Pass offers incredible access at the best value to Park City Mountain and beyond.

New This Season!

Enjoy More Terrain Earlier than Ever with New Snowmaking and other Enhancements

Park City Mountain has been a leader in snowmaking since the late 1970s and is excited to continue its industry leadership with snowmaking investments at Canyons Village for the 2024/25 season. The new infrastructure will accelerate the opening of popular runs during the early season, including Chicane and Another World. This investment will also increase guest access to more terrain in the popular Tombstone Express zone before and during the holiday season.

Also in Canyon’s Village, Park City Mountain has been making progress on the resort’s new 10-passenger gondola, set to open next season. The Sunrise Gondola will provide swifter mountain access for guests, improving the mountain arrival experience. This season, guests to Canyon’s Village will also notice improvements to the look and feel of the village with investments in seating, lighting and more that will elevate the village’s casual mountain modern style.
