Following intensive cooperation with the renowned manufacturer Klüber Lubrications, the ropeway manufacturer LEITNER presents the new exclusive lubricant LP Longlife for use on roller batteries. Following extensive tests in the San Martino di Castrozza ski resort, the new lubricant has provided fantastic results in terms of consumption, maintenance and environmental friendliness. The significant extension of the application intervals and the reduction in lubricant quantities, also results in additional positive effects in terms of costs and personnel.

After more than three years and 6,000 operating hours, the evaluation of the tests with LP Longlife in the ski resort of San Martino di Castrozza in Trentino, Italy, have shown an impressive increase in efficiency in terms of consumption and reduced frequency of application. By using the new lubricant, the interval between application on the roller batteries was tripled from 2,000 to 6,000 hours. In combination with the lower quantity required, this also results in a significant cost-saving effect. The use of LP Longlife also helps to increase the durability of ropeway components by reducing corrosion and wear.

For operators, the efficient use of LP Longlife also has further positive effects from a business point of view in terms of personnel deployment. On the one hand, the working hours required for lubrication are reduced and on the other, the safety of personnel is improved considerably by reducing the number of tasks they have to complete at height.
