Brundage Mountain Resort Readies New Lodge & Family Focused Improvements For Opening Day
Brundage Mountain Resort is counting down to opening day of the 2024/25 winter season, with major upgrades to lodge facilities, grooming equipment and family focused programs to kick off the season.
Upgraded Guest Experience with New MTN Adventure Center (MAC)
The new 18,000 square foot MTN Adventure Center is designed to streamline the arrival experience right from the moment guests drive up to a new paved drop off area.
The MAC brings together key services in one location, including ticketing, guest services, the MTN Sports School, daycare, a rental and demo gear shop, retail shop, coffee shop and restrooms—all on one level. This layout will help guests spend less time navigating facilities and more time enjoying the slopes.
The MAC’s lower level, easily accessible by stairs or elevator, features a state-of-the-art ski and snowboard tuning shop, indoor day locker rentals, and a private locker room for season locker holders.
“The MTN Adventure Center represents a major step forward in enhancing the guest experience at Brundage,” says Rider. “By consolidating essential services into one modern facility, we aim to provide a seamless, enjoyable experience for every guest.”

Upgraded Grooming Fleet for Quality Terrain
Brundage Mountain’s commitment to providing Idaho’s best snow conditions continues with significant grooming upgrades. A new PistenBully PB400 Park Pro will allow for more precision and creativity in terrain park features, while a PB400 Winch cat will improve early-season slope preparation and maintenance of steeper slopes. Additionally, Brundage has repurposed a newer snowcat for use on its guided snowcat adventures. The PB400 is outfitted with a carrier to transport guests across 18,000 acres of powder-filled backcountry terrain. www.brundage.com/snowcat
New Daycare and Family Focused Programs
The spacious new MAC allows for the expansion of MTN Sports School programs, including the MTN Explorers program for children 7 and up. A state-certified daycare facility will now provide care for children as young as six weeks old, seven days a week.
Brundage is introducing new affordable beginner programs for families. The $30 Beartopia lift ticket provides full day access to more than 100 acres of mostly beginner and novice terrain, including all of Brundage Mountain’s terrain parks. Kids six and under are always free at Brundage, and adults riding with those young children can purchase their own Beartopia ticket for $20.
Brundage Mountain’s new Starter PAK, aimed at beginners, includes three 90-minute lessons, three days of lift access, season-long rentals, and an unlimited season pass upon completion of the third lesson. The package costs $499 for youth (17 and under) and $999 for adults.
“Making it easy for families to enjoy Brundage Mountain has always been a priority,” said Rider. “These new programs, along with the relaunch of daycare, will give families more options and value as they introduce their kids to snowsports.”
Enhanced Fire Protection and EMS Services
Brundage Mountain has established its own fire department and expanded emergency medical services. The Brundage Mountain Fire Protection Association, equipped with a new fire truck and trained volunteer crew, is supported by a 435,000-gallon water tank for fire suppression at the base area. Brundage Mountain Emergency Medical Services (BMEMS) is now licensed as a transport EMS agency and equipped with a new ambulance based at the resort, providing faster response times and better care for guests.
These investments are part of Brundage Mountain Resort’s ongoing 10-Year Improvement Plan, which launched in 2021 and includes enhancements like the Centennial Express high-speed quad, which opened last season.
Brundage Mountain’s target opening date for the 2024/25 winter season is Friday, November 29, conditions permitting.
