Brian Head Resort Opens For 2024-25 Season With Daily Operations
Brian Head Resort, Southern Utah’s premier ski resort, is thrilled to kick off the 2024-25 winter season by opening its slopes for daily operations. This marks the second-earliest opening day in the resort’s 60-year history. Brian Head Resort previously set a record in 2022 with a November 4 opening date.
Opening day terrain featured top-to-bottom skiing on Navajo Mountain with two lifts, Navajo Express and Pioneer, servicing six trails, including Paradise, the Strip, Freemont, Easy Time, You’re Ready, and Fun Run. Brian Head Resort will open more terrain and lifts, including Giant Steps Mountain, as soon as conditions allow.
The resort is now open daily through May 4, 2025, with lifts running from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm on weekdays and from 9:30 am to 4:30 pm on weekends and peak days. Night skiing operations and snow tubing are scheduled to begin on December 13.
"We've been counting the days until ski season since we closed in May, and we’re thrilled to welcome everyone back to Brian Head Resort for our 60th season,” said Amber Palmer, marketing manager at Brian Head Resort. “This year, we’ve made several capital improvements, including upgraded snowmaking and adding three new trails to expand our beginner and intermediate terrain.”
With continuous upgrades in snowmaking and the highest base elevation in Utah at 9,600 feet, the resort strives to provide the most skiable days possible. The 2023-24 season culminated in 174 skiable days, the resort's longest season to date.
Tickets for the 2024-25 season are on sale now, starting at $19 on select dates. Brian Head Resort’s dynamic pricing model adjusts ticket prices in real-time based on demand, rewarding skiers who plan ahead with the lowest rates. Guests are encouraged to purchase tickets as soon as possible to take advantage of the savings. Brian Head Resort will also continue to offer Power Kids, the only season pass in North America that provides unlimited free skiing for children aged 12 and under, no purchase required or blackout dates.
