Swiss government Granting Graubunden Holidays 620,000 Francs To The “Grisons Nordic Development Program” Project

The government is granting Graubünden Holidays a contribution of 620,000 francs to the “Grisons Nordic Development Program” project as part of the federal government’s new regional policy (NRP). Half of the NRP contributions are borne by the federal government and half by the canton. Overall, the project costs are estimated at 2.18 million francs.

With the “Graubünden Nordic development program”, Graubünden Holidays aims to build Graubünden into the best-known and most popular Nordic region in the Alpine region. The destination organizations from Davos Klosters, Lenzerheide, the Lower and Upper Engadine and Sedrun Disentis also play a key role in the implementation of the project.

The goal is to position the canton as a leading Nordic region and to jointly strengthen and publicize the cross-country skiing offerings of the tourist destinations. The aim is to make the offer even more attractive by bundling individual modules into specific products.

The combination of varied cross-country ski trails, good infrastructure, sensible signage and cross-country ski hotels is intended to offer guests the basis for an attractive cross-country skiing experience.

The focus is on enjoying cross-country skiing as a popular sport. As part of the project, the digital application “Nordic-Buddy” is also to be developed, which is intended to replace the previous application “Everyone runs long” from the “Theme Alliance Nordic”.
