Copper Mountain’s Summer Operations Begin June 21;

Copper Mountain, the Athlete's Mountain, ignites its summer season on Friday, June 21, 2024. The action doesn’t melt away with the snow, Copper provides a wide array of summer adventures for those seeking unique experiences in its high-alpine environment.

Copper Mountain offers an array of free activities throughout the summer. Enjoy complimentary yoga sessions with Subaru Mountain Yoga on Saturdays and Center Pose Yoga on Sundays. Groove to live music in the village every weekend, with Brews & Tunes on Fridays and Acoustic Glow on Saturdays. Explore nature with the Hike with a Ranger program by the Friends of the Dillon Ranger District. Starting June 29th, join guided hikes every Saturday and Sunday, including a new family-specific hike on Saturdays and the traditional hike on Sundays. Hours and Operations

During the peak season, from June 21 to August 11, visitors can enjoy the resort's offerings from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Sundays through Thursdays, with extended hours until 7 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays. Transitioning to the latter part of the summer, from August 12 to September 8, operating hours shift to 11 a.m. start, still offering extended hours until 7 p.m. on Friday and Saturdays. Access for all activities will be out of Copper’s Center Village, with scenic chair, bike and gondola rides available on the American Eagle. Meanwhile, Woodward Express Lift will operate Fridays through Sundays, July 1 to September 8, offering access for bike haul, with no other services available in West Village.

Summer Passes

Make the most out of Copper’s activity offerings this summer with an Activity Day Pass. For $79, the Activity Day Pass includes unlimited scenic chairlift and gondola rides at the American Eagle lift, unlimited runs through the WreckTangle course, a ride on the Rocky Mountain Coaster and access to activities on West Lake and Go Karts. Summer Celebrations

Copper's summer wouldn't be complete without a festival scene to match. The first celebration kicks off on the Fourth of July weekend with Red, White, Brews & Tunes. Donovan Frankenreiter will launch the celebration on July 4, Brittney Spencer will perform on July 5 and Grace Potter closes out the festivities on July 6. Country music takes center stage at Copper Country on August 10. Union Peak, Copper's biggest summer celebration, returns for its fourth year on September 6-7. This two-day extravaganza fuses live music, interactive art installations, sports demos and community gatherings. While musical acts haven't been announced, all music performances are free for festivalgoers to attend. For Union Peak, guests will have an option to upgrade their festival experience with full weekend or daily VIP passes for front-of-stage viewing, exclusive catered VIP lounge, daily drink tickets, exclusive after parties with headline acts, a Union Peak Festival YETI 20oz. Summertime at the Aerie

The Aerie, Copper’s brand-new mid-mountain lodge, makes its summer debut, providing unrivaled Ten Mile Range vistas and delicious grill offerings for guests looking to refuel between mountain hikes and laps at the bike park. Every Friday throughout summer guests can enjoy free lift access up the mountain to enjoy Après at the Aerie. New this season is a Lunch and Lift option, where guests can purchase a lift ticket that includes an on-mountain lunch. The Aerie will be the new location for Mountain Mixology, a guest favorite, and two new food competition events this summer, Wings & Wine and Burgers & Beers. The 25,000 square foot lodge officially opened on Copper’s winter opening day, with the summer backdrop, guests will enjoy Copper's stunning new lodge in a whole new way.

Summer on Snow

Skiers and riders can enjoy action on the snow nearly year-round at Copper. Terrain Park enthusiasts have the chance to continue their progression at the Woodward hike-to-terrain park starting June 7 every Friday – Sunday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. throughout the summer. The terrain park will be in Center Village near the base area of Copper Mountain and will cost $25 for each guest to enjoy the hike park all day. Several rail jam events are planned to take place during Copper’s festival celebrations, details are still being finalized. The summer hike park is set to stay open for as long as conditions allow.

Mountain Biking

Copper boasts trails for every rider. The network is expected to open in early July, conditions permitting. Ascend effortlessly with the American Eagle lift bike haul in Center Village 7-days a week or enjoy access from the Woodward Express lift Friday-Sunday. Choose between daily Bike Haul passes, upgrades from an Activity Pass or snag a season pass for unmatched access. Daily Bike Haul and Season Passes are available to purchase at CopperColorado.com. Riders can enhance their skills with Copper’s bike school, offering group lessons, skills clinics, and private lessons, all set to begin July 1. Progress continues on Copper's multi-year trail renovation project with additional trails opening this summer, all designed to maximize flow.

Elevate Your Game at Copper Creek Golf Course

The Copper Creek Golf Course will kick off summer on June 7 offering both 9-hole and 14-holes of golf. Mid-summer the course will return to a full 18-holes, offering even more time on the links to enjoy jaw-dropping views of the Ten Mile Range. Nestled against the mountain's base, the course is one of the highest golf courses in North America. Golf Season Passes with cart access for both adults and kids are also available for purchase with a 7-day booking pass option and a one-day advance booking pass option. Woodward Copper Summer Camp: Train Like a Pro with the Pros

Aspiring athletes can take their skills to the next level at Woodward Copper Summer Camp. This action sports paradise offers week-long overnight sessions for ages 7-17, featuring summer skiing and snowboarding on real Colorado snow and access to the Woodward Barn, a 19,400 sq. ft. indoor training facility boasting skateparks, Olympic-grade trampolines, foam pit jumps, and dedicated indoor ski and snowboard training areas. Woodward's state-of-the-art facilities and professional coaching staff will help campers identify and achieve their goals, leaving them stoked and ready to crush it next season. Even adults can get in on the action. Returning for its second year, Copper offers an Adult Week at camp (May 26th-31st) for participants 18 and over to hone their skills on snow.

Copper guests can enjoy access to the Woodward Barn, every weekend throughout summer. From June 7th to August 8th, the barn welcomes visitors on Fridays from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m., Saturdays from 12 p.m. to 8 p.m., and Sundays from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. Beginning August 9th and continuing until November 8th, guests can enjoy Woodward Barn's offerings Wednesday through Friday from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m., and Saturdays and Sundays from 12 p.m. to 8pm.
