Brian Head Resort Celebrates Longest Ski Season in 59 Years
Brian Head Resort, southern Utah's premier ski resort, will conclude its 2023–24 ski season this Sunday, May 12, chalking up 174 skiable days—the resort's longest season in 59 years of operation.
To celebrate, Brian Head Resort is hosting a bonus weekend of skiing from Friday, May 10, through Sunday, May 12. The Giant Steps Express chairlift (chair 2) will spin from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm each day during the bonus weekend, while the Giant Steps Lodge will be open for lift tickets, season passes, rentals, snacks, and refreshments. Lift tickets for the bonus weekend can be purchased in advance for less than $32.
Brian Head Resort, which has the highest base elevation in Utah at 9’600 feet, invested more than $500,000 in cutting-edge snowmaking equipment, including a new SnowCat PistenBully 400 Groomer for the 2023–24 season. Early snowmaking efforts, combined with a high elevation that provides colder temperatures, helped preserve the snow and ensure a consistent base throughout the season.
