Swiss Athletes Strengthen Kastle Team: Priska Ming-Nufer & Janine Schmitt Sign Contracts In Hohenems
Priska Ming-Nufer and Janine Schmitt sign contracts in Hohenems. With the new season right in front of their eyes, both change brands to join the traditional skiing-brand from Vorarlberg. While Ming-Nufer wants to close the gap on the world ́s best athletes within short, it will be the first full season in the World Cup for Janine Schmitt, who won last years Europa Cup Overall.
After the signing of Jasmine Flury in the summer of 2023, two more women from Swiss-Ski team are now counting on Kästle. “In ski-racing sport trust to your equipment supplier is essential. Due to hard work and thanks to the great performance of Jasmine, we could improve this,” says Kästle boss Alexander Lotschak.
Inspired by the successes of her fellow countrywomen, Ming-Nufer wants to attack with new skiing material in the upcoming season to go back to the top. In February 2022 the speed athlete from the Swiss A-squad won the Downhill in Crans Montana – it remains her only victory up to now.In the same season she achieved 7th place in the Downhill score.
For 23-year-old Janine Schmitt the upcoming World Cup season 24/25 will be her first full one in the highest racing class. At her debut, in the Downhill of Cortina two years ago, she reached 26th place and with that her first World Cup points. The all-round talent proved her talent in Downhill, Super-G and GS at multiple occasions. So she has great expectations for her future.
The cooperation between Swiss-Ski and Kästle has been a successful one within the past years and is highly valued by both. Therefor it is the next logical step to support more athletes together in the best possible way.
For Ming-Nufer and Schmitt summer training is at full speed. At the moment they train together at Stilfser Joch to collect important insights on their new gear.
