Sattel-Hochstuckli AG & IG Skibetrieb Hochstuckli Fail To Reach Complete Agreement On Lift Operations

IG Skibetrieb Hochstuckli and the Board of Directors of Sattel-Hochstuckli AG only agree on the point that the scenario of keeping one of the ski lifts at Hochstuckli ready "on call" for simple winter operations involves very large financial (upfront) expenditure and a correspondingly large financial risk. A risk that neither Sattel Hochstuckli AG nor IG Skibetrieb Hochstuckli can bear alone.

The Board of Directors of Sattel-Hochstuckli AG and the representatives of the IG Skibetrieb Hochstuckli met to look back on the 2023/24 season with limited winter operations - without the operation of the Bärenfang and Hochstuckli ski lifts - and to talk about possible future scenarios.

The IG Skibetrieb Hochstuckli recognizes the efforts of Sattel-Hochstuckli AG to at least maintain the ski operation on the Engelstock including Rondo's play and fun land in the coming winter of 2024/25.

No agreement

The scenario of keeping the Bärenfang or Hochstuckli ski lifts ready for winter operation in the future, so to speak, "on call", involves very large financial (preliminary) expenditure and a correspondingly large financial risk. Sattel-Hochstuckli AG cannot bear this. However, the Board of Directors of Sattel-Hochstuckli AG has decided that operation by third parties is possible.However, only if the operation is run completely independently.

For the IG Skibetrieb Hochstuckli, independent operation of one of the two ski lifts and the connecting piste is not an option in financial and personnel terms. Without close cooperation with Sattel-Hochstuckli AG and the use of synergies (e.g. ticketing, snow groomers, rescue services, etc.), operating the ski lifts is not realistic. And this cooperation is not possible for the Board of Directors of Sattel-Hochstuckli AG for financial and personnel reasons. There is therefore no agreement and the Bärenfang and Hochstuckli ski lifts will also be closed in the 2024/25 season.

Sattel-Hochstuckli AG and IG Skibetrieb Hochstuckli remain in contact and are committed to ensuring that the 4-season concept continues in the future and that a ski offer can be maintained, albeit on a very limited basis.
