Marmot Basin Survives Jasper Fire
Marmot Basin has emerged from the Jasper fire unscathed. In a statement they say:
"We now know that infrastucture at Marmot Basin has not been affected by the Jasper Complex Wildfire. All facilities, buildings and ski lifts are completely in tact.
"Our first priority continues to be supporting our staff during this profoundly difficult time. We are eternally grateful for the unending and selfless efforts of so many who have, and continue to tirelessly protect our people and community.
"Our intention is to operate our ski area for this coming season. This will take much work on the part of many and we can't wait to see our friends back on the slopes this winter. Updates to follow as more information becomes available.

"We’d first like to offer our sincere gratitude to all those who have reached out to wish us well in the last few days. This has been a devastating week for our community and the outpouring of kindness we’ve received has been remarkable and has not gone unnoticed.
"The profound thanks due to the firefighters and those on the front lines who worked to protect our beloved town cannot be understated. To those who worked behind the scenes to make sure our community, family, and friends were safe, we send our deepest appreciation. Our hearts and thoughts are with those who have been heavily impacted by this tragedy. We will stand together as Jasper recovers and rebuilds. Our thoughts are also with our staff who are dispersed throughout Alberta and BC. We are working to bring them back to their homes in Jasper as soon as it is safe and permissible to do so."
