Ski-In Ski-Out: New Tschuggen Mountain Lofts Offer Exclusive Access To The Slopes

The four new Mountain Lofts at the Tschuggen Grand Hotel offer a new way of living at over 1,800m. They are separate from Tschuggen Grand Hotel, so have exclusivity but with all of the perks of five-star hotel amenities.

Built by Swiss architect Tilla Theus and furnished by The Tschuggen Collection interior designer Carlo Rampazzi, the spacious five-star serviced suites offer south-facing sun terraces with breathtaking mountain panoramas and a unique view directly onto the ski slopes. Built using high-quality sustainable materials, the lofts blend seamlessly with the mountain landscape and inside guests can enjoy chic modern alpine interiors. The lofts range from one to three bedrooms, sleeping up to six, and offer fully equipped kitchens, living rooms, bathrooms, saunas and balconies.

The new mountain lofts are ideal for families or groups of friends who want to spend time together in their own space with their own spa area but don't want to miss out on the amenities of the Tschuggen Grand Hotel including concierge and shuttle service, and access to the four-floor Bergoase Spa at the hotel.

The ski-in ski-out concept is perfected here with the hotel's own mountain railway, the Tschuggen Express. In less than four minutes, it takes guests up to the Arosa Lenzerheide ski area – the largest interconnected winter sports area in Graubünden with 225km of groomed pistes. The downhill run leads directly to the Mountain Lofts.

With a picturesque setting in the town of Arosa in the Swiss Alps, the 5* Tschuggen Grand Hotel is an ideal getaway at the top of the Schanfigg Valley. Whilst the hotel evokes old school glamour, it aims to deliver an innovative and forward-thinking approach to luxury travel, including a comprehensive and award-winning sustainability programme. The 128 rooms and suites at the hotel offer a cosy residential experience with a unique view of the Arosa mountains. It is the only hotel in Switzerland with its very own mountain railway.

After a day on the slopes, guests can relax at the hotel’s four-floor, 5,000sqm Bergoase Spa. Designed by Mario Botta, the spa was built entirely into the mountain and offers four floors of outstanding wellness. The iconic glass and steel ‘sails’ are designed to reflect light into the structure and offer panoramic views of the mountainscape from all four floors.

In culinary terms, guests can enjoy healthy, market-fresh dishes, haute cuisine as well as fine food in its four restaurants. Gourmet restaurant La Brezza is proud to hold 2 Michelin stars and 18 Gault Millau points. Inspired by the spectacular landscape around its hotels, The Tschuggen Collection’s unique ‘Moving Mountains’ programme offers experiences aimed at boosting vitality, reconnecting with nature and celebrating life.
