Quebec Ski Areas Highlight Developments

This winter, Quebec ski resorts are pushing the boundaries to offer an unforgettable experience to their visitors. They will offer a multitude of new features across the province. On the program: innovations in particular in terms of sustainable and responsible development, as well as new cutting-edge equipment. Among other things, webcams installed in about ten resorts will show snow conditions in the mountains in real time. This trend thus makes it possible to inform skiers and snowboarders about the quality of skiing conditions, especially when snow is scarce in urban areas.

Accessibility to board sports: a priority

This still well-kept secret debunks the false belief that snow sports are prohibitively expensive. Thanks to the collaboration of more than 40 participating ski resorts, the My First Time package presented by Sports Experts - which is aimed at ages 5 to 99 - offers a lesson with a certified instructor, equipment rental and access to the learning zone for the modest sum of $29.95. An initiative that reflects the commitment of ski resorts to offering an experience accessible to all.

"One thing is certain, the excitement is palpable in all of Quebec's ski resorts with the first ski resort opening last week. The teams have been working for months already to deliver major new features for the promising season ahead. In addition, this winter, our marketing campaign will aim to arouse the desire to discover ski resorts by demonstrating that winter fun can be found in every region of Quebec, regardless of the weather. "We encourage Quebecers to rediscover winter in a positive light, by highlighting the pleasure and energy that the mountains provide, " says Josée Cusson, communications and marketing director of the Association des stations de ski du Québec.
